Brilliant point that. Especially with such an inexperienced side out.

It's a fantastic point.

Best side I've seen at Oakwell.

With key players missing too, got to hand it to Keith.

Buzzing for my boy, too.

Excellent point against one of league ones big hitters. Let's get stuck into the Biffos now and put them on the back foot from the start.

A cracking point and a great response to Saturday's defeat. This team, and squad, is something very special.

I wonder if any stayaway Oldham fans are keeping track of their score on teletex or ceefax, or whatever its called! It says that Oldham win 9 - 10 on penalties! Someones going to be disappointed when they find out!

Agreed and don't forget they battered Man U in't league cup ( sorry for the reminder chaff.) Great result in the end.

Just got back to the car report.

Thought we battled hard tonight and we must be happy with a point considering we weren't quite at our best. MK Dons had the majority of the chances and were largely wasteful in front of goal or denied by the excellent Logan (My MOM) We struggled really to control the game with Allen not quite at his best against a very strong Dons midfield. Muldoon looked good in very brief patches and put in a great shift but I'm not quite sure if he's ready to challenge for the first team when we have Done back. Cannon was perhaps guilty of trying to force the pass in the first half but grew into the game as it went on and there's definitely a lot of potential there, he does however look a little lightweight and was knocked off the ball too often. Great strike by RNL who would be getting a permanent contract for me in Jan just because of the brief moments of brilliance he shows in games.

Two moans however. Firstly as a team we have to get better at defending set pieces, too often we gave them free headers inside our box, on another day we could have conceded 3 through set pieces alone. Also the referee, poor and inconsistent throughout.

All in all though a great point, roll on Saturday.

For a cup quarterfinal (!), the turn out was a bit thin: 2420 home supporters and 636 Prston fans. The penalties must have been nailbiting: at 9-9 (on both sides, one outfield player's attempt had been saved) the Latics keeper shot over the bar, followed by the PNE keeper who scored. But not as nailbiting as following Dale's draw at MKD!

I do know a good/shit player when I see em.

Amazes me we persist in Fat Keith Treacy and unfit and fat Dale Jennings and were happy to get shut of a talent like Reubs.

Shame they've levelled it, but a draw's still a reight result.

Andrew's on, not over yet...

Not lie Keef Treacy to be fat. RNL loves a tuesday night goal. Thought his first touch was poor Saturday cost him in some decent positions.

He's still a work in progress. Nowhere near the finished article. But I believe there's a really good footballer in there and the more minutes he gets the better he'll become. He made his debut at 15 and so it feels to us like he's been around forever. But at 21 he's still young and with less than 20 starts to his name he's still got plenty of learning to do.

Keith will get the best out of him. And if he continues to perform well at Dale then I expect him back here at the end of the loan. Unless Danny thinks otherwise.

Out of contract in June.

Big season for the kid.

My take on todays game - First half was very much even steven, it was excellent timing that we got an equaliser within a minute of them scoring and a fantastic own goal it was too.

The second half really belonged to MK, they had several opportunities to score and our defending was desperate on occasions. Having said that Andy Cannon could have scored two and maybe inexperience told as he went for glory both times when he had more time. RNL's goal was superb a superb strike which saw the ball swerve in midair. Unstoppable. It was a shame MK got an equaliser but the fall fell for them following Logan's save, they deserved it.

It shows though how Dale have developed as a team, tanser, allen, cannon all through the youth ranks, muldoon making his first league start. Although players like Done and Vincenti are missed this squad has battling capabilities now and strength in depth. Under Parkin/Barrow/Eyre missing 3 or 4 regulars would have meant capitulation and a mauling - not now.

For what it's worth my motm was Allen, everyone on the pitch again - occasional misplaced pass but what a talent

Good to see O Connell back

O Connnell and Eastham seem to get the best out of each other at the back.

Terrfic point - especially losing the Done appeal ( to be expected ) and Dawson going off injured early.

Cannon - Muldoon and Tanser with very little first team experience but with no fear and hearts like lions.

We will need all the experience we have on Saturday though and i would like to see Dawson and Hery in the middle with Lund and Allen. Fingers crossed Dawson is a niggle and not to serious.

Fantastic point - sounded like a cracking end to end game. This team is made of good stuff!! long may this type of performance continue.

Oldham in belting form too - will be a cracker on Saturday.

But a plural doesn't take an apostrophe s - that's like writing 'cabbage's for sale' ... Also, compare potato/potatoes, echo/echoes, buffalo/buffaloes etc. Thus Biffo/Biffoes rather than Biffo/Biffos?

Rochdale boss Keith Hill said: "I definitely would have accepted a point.

"We're going through a phase of the season where we're picking up last-minute injuries.

"We tried to appeal Matty Done's red card - it didn't get rescinded and I only found out about half past two, three o'clock.

"Then we did a light training session and Matty Lund got injured.

"It's really difficult and we're going through that testing time that is testing the squad of players and testing me as a manager but I'm really pleased to have come here and got something out of the game.

"When we're 2-1 up going into the last five minutes of the game you could be a tad disappointed but I don't feel any disappointment whatsoever because of the stretch we're on at the minute.

"I feel as though we'll come out of whatever's happening now stronger because there will be other younger players who will get their opportunities."

Looking at the video of the game all their players appear to be about 6'2" with the same build which must have made difficult for our lot to compete in physical encounters eg set pieces.

Also, it was difficult to see if there were many fans there even though they have 7,000(?) crowds. Are they all in the stand in which the camera is located? It seems a bit like Darlington's old ground ie enormous capacity but largely empty. Is that what it is like? Must be a bit eerie unless the home fans create a lot of atmosphere.

Listening to Manchester radio news report this morning at 7.30. The presenter said "Rochdale could only manage a draw away at MK Dons". Nothing like a bit of praise eh!
