Actually feel sorry for Perks, a fair percentage of his misplaced passes are when someone gives him a hospital pass with no time and space, bit like Back Pass Barry used to do to others, to keep his own pass percentage up.

He always seems to mark space and not another attacker - watched him today directing others to players he should have closed down. He really was awful today and if the manager was seeing what a lot saw he should have been taken off and then he wouldn't have gifted them the goal with a stupid defensive header.
He has a good engine but probably put to better use on Come Dancing. | | | |

Better? I thought we were very poor again, especially 2nd half. Yes, there were a few examples of improved play (usually involving Murphy, Eagles or Mellis) but they were few and far between. We allowed Bolton far, far too much possession and all too often when we had an opportunity to take the game to the opposition our inability to sting more than three passes together meant that the move never developed as it should.
Don't know what was wrong with Perkins today but he had a shocker. Should have been hooked. [Post edited 22 Nov 2014 21:48]

purely for the record, I felt Perks had a bad hair day, he seemed to get things wrong from the very start when he stumbled over a ball that was already in adangerous position, first half, to allow the opposition to claer it. But, we all have bad days.
As for the second goal, I would disagree it was a bad defensive header, he was just too short to reach the cross properly, where were our big guys? and the ball went straight to their scorer, who was unmarked. Now Perkins can't be in two places at once, so who was supposed to be marking the South Korean, and if it was Perks, who was supposed to be in the middle of the box?
As for games, We were cheated out of a win at Fulham, Leeds was shocking (at sthe first half was I didn't see the second half) yesterday was a little better than we have been playing, but still needs improving on. maybe when all our new additions have had time to settle we'll see better performances. |  |

I'd like to see Perkins replaced by someone who can pass. Cubero seems capable but when will he be fit. Glad Lundstram is out, hope not to see him again. Still short of midfield options with Mellis apparently tearing his hamstring and Orlandis foot problems. Thought team did ok Saturday, especially with so many new faces and some having played few matches. Glad no midweek match.

Let's face it Perkins is like an annoying fly that you try to swat away but just persists with what he's doing .. in that respect quite effective and will annoy the hell out of you but at the end of the day he can't do much else. |  |
