By the way, how many new arrivals would be too many because they'd disrupt the established team (never mind who they are). Someone said that 3 or 4 should be the maximum number to arrive or depart in any transfer window, and I think that that is probably right. (But Dwight is welcome to disagree.) |  |

How many people aside from supporters of Welsh clubs in the English pyramid do you think acknowledge that it is the Welsh and English football league? Very few.
Whatever historical association we had with the English league was lost when we created our own. I'd argue even before that very few outside of our Welsh clubs was aware some Welsh clubs helped found it.

You see the English flag because the clubs are there as representatives of the English FA. The English FA choose how to allocate their places in the European competitions and they choose to allocate, for example, the top four places in the Premier League to the Champions League. The Europa league places that they have are allocated between the Premier League, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
The flag is not an indication of the league or cups that the clubs play in and have qualified from, but the FA.
The league was formed for clubs from England & Wales. Doesn't really matter what you think about it - that is factually correct and it is not and never has been the English league. And I imagine that there are quite a few people throughout football that know that Welsh clubs (at times 6 of them) have been in that league system (and in the leagues feeding into it) from the start or the very early days. | | | |

i would think possibly more than 3-4 when you consider that michu, canas, pablo, poz, ben(?), and vorm are all on the outs and that's not even counting the loan players who made up the squad number last season.

I think its paramount that if we have a number of new faces that we start the season with as many players in the starting 11 who were with us last year. We cant go chucking 5 or more players in together and expect them to click, they have to be eased in during the season.
Pending on who is rumoured on leaving, we still look to have a solid enough first 11 who know the Swansea way
