Why not? It's a clever little marketing ploy but a bit more thought should have gone into it to make the shirts look less garish. Home and away versions would have worked better. FAO Nike: that advice will cost you a tenner and 2%.

Also a fabulous way of recycling old unsold shirts - just cut them up and stitch them together as per the nike puke pattern. I wonder if we've got any old unsold shirts lying around?

We do, and they have got 'promotion winners' printed on them now to shift the last ones

The 'Tranmere shirts' were in 1991/92 when Smith Metals were the sponsors and Alan Young was long gone.

wow - what a kit and not in a good way on 15:57 - May 21 by 442Dale | That one is 93/94, the material had been used previously though: by Stockport as a one-off kit at Wembley at the end of the previous season. Couldn't get a pic of the actual kit, but it's in this link. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Rochdale/Rochdale.htm Ironically if you google Rochdale kit 91/92 the Tranmere version comes up in the results. Lockett I think then Zac Hughes on back row. Herring next to Morgan. Lockett and Herring may be the other way round. Or wrong!

1. Think that's a red herring. 2. Can't believe Zac Hughes was still there in 91-2. 3. Full marks for symmetry, Mr Photographer.

Hi TVOS yes I know that I was just thinking of "extra" stitching , couldnt think of too many fat players...well not ones I didnt like , and apparently "young Alan" didnt like us LOL Luckily we havent seen too many Jan Molby types in recent years because Hill and the team have certainly got the fitnes stuff sorted.
