Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 21:45 - Jan 28 with 2486 views | Swanfan1 | We know why the defense was shaky, a lack of defensive midfielder, we be having big trouble the coming fixtures if we dont have a strong defensive midfielder... lets pray that we can get one in before this friday.. I thought I would never say this, but right now a defensive midfielder is much more important than a winger..

Well then true to the strategy of scouring Liverpool rejects of recruits we should be chatting up that Momo geezer they got rid of a few seasons ago. Didn't I read somewhere recently he is a free agent? Perfect!

And then we steal 3 * 3 points from West Ham, the neighbours and Stoke in the next 3 rounds. 10 Swansea 23 -4 24 .... 16 Stoke 22 -14 22 17 Fulham 23 -28 19 18 West Ham 22 -11 18 19 Sunderland 22 -15 18 20 Cardiff 23 -23 18
Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 21:58 - Jan 28 with 2124 views | PozuelosSideys | Leon was a bit off the pace today, but the first half in particular a number of players kept giving the ball away in the middle of the field. Pablo and JDG the main culprits. Second half JDG much better. Im not sure any defensive midfielder would have made much difference when we do that and get countered.

Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 22:00 - Jan 28 with 2090 views | FearOfAJackPlanet | Proud of the lads, that was a tricky game to negotiate with everyone expecting/demanding a win. Completely different dynamic to the team with Shelvey, JDG and Dyer back; A clean sheet was the icing on the cake. Dyer was scintillating when he came on, as if the injury never happened, and some praise for Chico as well, been through a rough patch to say the least recently, but manned-up and put a good performance in when it mattered.

poor guy, De Guzman was concentrating on attacking, so he was the only one left to recover the ball whenever we lost it, and that was against big guys like Berbatov, Bent, Sidwell and Parker.. but at one point i did start worrying cause he is the one that is suppose to make us tick.

Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 22:23 - Jan 28 with 1838 views | AnotherJohn | Just home and happy and relieved with that result. There were plenty of positives, but it wasn't easy for us and I sometimes wonder what games like that do for my life expectancy. Onwards and upwards, but I still think an extra reinforcement or two would help.
Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 22:26 - Jan 28 with 1807 views | PozuelosSideys | Yep. Oddly , given our recent injury list and performances of certain players, it turns out we have a number of options for the AM position. Michu, Shelvey, Pozuelo and JDG can all argue thats their best position. Sadly i do think you may have a point with the need for a new DMC, but maybe in the summer. Britton is stuggling to string the sort of performances we are used to from him and Canas is a terrier. We need a ball-player option in that role - i know many will disagree and say Canas is a great option for me, but not for me. Britton gives us something different.

Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 23:06 - Jan 28 with 1526 views | airedale | ML seems to me to be playing Leon further up the pitch to what we are used to. Ashley was the one who concerned me tonight. His positional play, blocks and interceptions are there, but he seemed to me to be hesitant in his distribution choices and his passing was nowhere near his normal standards. I wonder if the boy is as fit as he could be.

No I think Leon was out of position, he should cover the DM position and be the balance player. Which he kind a failed to do so in the first half. I think Leon was the reason why Fullham with ease come to so many chances in the first half, Leon was also not aggressive enough. Second half Leon was positioned much better, and played much better! Ashley struggles in the link up play to the midfield.. He newer seems to find someone or can play out of pressure.. That is were Chico sometimes is brilliant !! Second Half was embarrassing for Fulham, they must feel relegated after that humiliation! :D FIrst half swans 4/10 Second Half swans 8/10 [Post edited 28 Jan 2014 23:20]

Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 23:46 - Jan 28 with 1333 views | Dull1Thomas | Given every team gets a few chances that was as comfortable a win a we are likely to see for the rest of the season.$ players making their way back after injury in 'classic' Swansea style --- keep the ball, pay it back sideways, short, long. Patience was the key-- wear down the opposition mentally and physically then up the tempo .. it's is how we have been successful and it how we will stay successful. BTW - Chico MOM for me tonight but all played well.

Your life expectancy!!! I am 72 just got home and my poor old ticker is still doing a jig, having a couple of beers to calm it down, only downside to that is the 3am piss call!! Good result tonight, thought Chico had a very good game, let him have all the Chico Pops he wants if that is the result. Far better side once Dyer came on gave us some much needed width. Sad to say I do think we are going to have to look for a new RB and DM next season AR and Leon are sadly coming to the end, would not want to see such great players for the club ruin our memories of them by not knowing when to call time. JDG was the worry for me tonight just does not seem to have the heart for a fight. It is 3 points in the bag, I still think looking at the remainder of the season we will finish with 42/43 points, also with Everton now seeming to be building up a list of injuries got a sneaky feeling we might do them and then only one match from a Wembley.semi final. Swansea v Fulham - Official Matchday Thread on 08:39 - Jan 29 with 1091 views | s1ackjack | Good win last night and the returning players certainly played a huge part in that. We need more of the same in the coming games because they will all be just as tough, with everyone scrapping for points. West Ham and Cardiff will be no pushovers for sure so no foregone conclusion of a continuing rise up the table. Would like to see Vorm back ASAP and hopefully Michu for Cardiff game. Excellent win!!!
