Tippy Joins The Lilywhites

A great move for Tippy.  Today Matthew Tipton has signed a deal at League of Ireland Premier side Dundalk.

The 30 year old was released by the Silkmen at the end of last season after two spells at the Moss Rose.  He joined Macc from Oldham back in 2002 and made over 130 appearances for us scoring 41 goals - a great return.

He then signed for Mansfield Town but after a fall out with Carlton Palmer went to Bury.  He rejoined Macc in 2006.

“I’m delighted to be here and I’m very excited by the move,” Matthew told dundalkfc.com moments after signing.

“It’s a big challenge for me, obviously coming over from England.  I have come over here because I think the club can progress and they’re going to be challenging for honours – obviously they were in Europe over the last few weeks, and hopefully we can push on and get into Europe again next season.""

TheSilkWeb.com wish Tippy all the very best over there.

The Silkmen Show Podcast Is Out
The Silkmen Show season 2 episode 4 is now available to download from iTunes.  Host Nick Wright and Macclesfield Town fan Jon Smart discussed topics such as Wycombe, Vale and the SST coach.
SST Coach To Crewe
The SST hope to run a coach to Crewe Alexandria on Tuesday 28 Sep 2010 dependent on numbers.  Seat prices will be £7 for SST members and £12 for non SST members. For the coach to run at these seat prices a minimum of 35 people must have booked seats.
Wycombe Wanderers 4
Macclesfield Town have a tricky trip to Wycombe on Saturday afternoon and we are still looking for that first league win of the season.  Can we do it at Adams Park?  Maybe.  Look what I have found within the archives.  A bit of a treet for Macc fans.
Vote For Tremarco
Macclesfield fans have only two weeks left to register their vote for Carl Tremarco to be named a North West player of the year.
