Pentney Trial Ends
Gary Simpson has told trial goalkeeper Carl Pentney that he won't be offering him a contract at the Moss Rose.
Pentney was released at the end of last season by Leicester City and he was asked to come to Macc to show what he can do. He has featured in the pre season friendlies so far and went over to Ireland earlier this week.
Speaking to the official site Gary Simpson said that it wasn't right for him to move to Macc with the distance from his Leicester home.
He said "Carl did well for us over in Ireland, but we're not sure a move up here from Leicester would be the best option for us or him really."
We wish Carl the best of look in finding a club for the new season.
