I've been a couple of times in the past with my wife to watch Ipswich there, so it will be reliving my youth! All together now "You can stick your yellow budgies up your a***". Seriously though, are clubs allowed to report "dubious" behaviour to the FA, or do they only act on reports from the official match observer? Not that Norwich supporters would accept we've not been involved! I think I will be at Carrow Road, but I've not been told whether my Christmas present list of match & train tickets has been granted! |

I'm not sure that I can agree that we have a centre back playing out of position Dorse! Not only has Jimmy Dunne made the right back spot his own, he is a far better player that he is when he plays in the middle. I suspect that he has found his natural role & won't be considered as a central defender in the future. Not that this has any relevance to Ashby's performances! |

Absolutely right about the date Sir! I did look at the schedule for the 29th & NYD, but that's a feeble excuse for posting the wrong date! |

As much as I've moaned about them in the past, I'm of the view that Greater Anglia is one of (if not the best) the better run Train Companies & that there will be no problems with the trains on New Years Day. As a company they have no control as to when Network Rail close the lines & it is not often that carriages are reduced in number. What is possible, of course, is that the buffet bar won't be operating & that the toilets are out of order! Last Saturday with 12 coaches on the train there was just one toilet available & they didn't expect that to be usable for long! However, the timetable was run as scheduled. |

There both right sided players & it might be that Dunne wouldn't have the same impact on the game at left back. Dunne is the best right back at the club, so why move him from where he has performed well? |

What was strange about this was giving a free kick to Oxford. Having a perfect view of the incident (for a change), it should have been a goal kick as neither player did anything wrong. |

9 seemed excessive to me, but there were 6 substitution windows, the Madsen injury & the Nardi injury. It had to be a minimum of 6. |

Great stuff stow. Sitting on the train at White City & being told that the train is being held due to an obstruction at Marle Arch, I thought I might miss that train, but I was at Liverpool Street well before the 10.30 departure. It's strange how the journey home is so much more enjoyable after we've won! |

Why would a right footed player not be effective playing on the right? I accept that he wouldn't be able to cut inside & shoot as he often does, but other options would be available for him. Surely he is capable of varying his game. Having said that, my preference would be for him to play centrally in front of Field & Varane. |

Cheers Clive. It's amazing what difference it makes as to where you are situated in the ground. From my position in the back row of the Upper Loft, I didn't see the "challenges" on Madsen & Morgan & didn't understand why posters were saying Norwich should have received two sending offs. I've still not seen them either, but many have mentioned them! The offsides can't be judged from where we were, but immediately we thought Kolli was offside for what led to the corner for our first goal, not a clue on the first disallowed goal (he clearly was but shouldn't have been) & was certain the second was at least a yard off (wrong!). And we were staggered Smyth was awarded the free kick that led to our second goal. I'd have been livid to have that given against us. It also looked to us that it was never a penalty for handball. Yes, it hit Ashby's arm, but it looked like his arm was in a natural position & was unintentional. If we'd seen it from the side, as you did, we might have thought differently! I refused to openly accept that we couldn't lose the game when we reached the 95th minute, but I think we all knew we were safe around the hour mark. Mainly because it is not often you play against a team that looked as if they hated each other! [Post edited 9 Dec 17:32]

Wasn't Madsen limping from the kick he received? I think there's a good chance Field will replace him in the side with Morgan being moved forward. |

I'm fairly sure that we kicked off against Stoke, which would mean Stoke won the toss & chose to change ends. As we seem (to me at least) to score more goals in the first half of matches, we would see more Rangers goals at the Loft End. Not that I think it makes any difference to the result of a game which direction you play first! |

I think most fans believe that the referee gives every decision against their team Nix! Sometimes though, you take great delight when you know the officials have messed up & you take advantage. |

Of course, I loved his two goals & we definitely needed them, but what really impressed me today was his movement off the ball & his pressing. It helped that Saito, Smyth & Madsen were helping him with the press & please may this continue. |

At the moment all trains are showing as leaving Ipswich on time. Of course, this means that all of the yellow budgie supporters will be able to make it to the game! We will be boarding a train starting at Ipswich rathjer than the faster "inter city" trains from Naaridge so that we can get a seat! |

Am I right in thinking that your view is based on the word forever? I would take the view (as a non writer or editor & language not being my forte) that forever includes something that is permanent, rather than only selecting one of the word's definition. I've not seen "special" ever being associated with Forever R's & personally I'd automatically enrol every player who has signed professionally for Queens Park Rangers. Even if they didn't make a first team appearance, as many clubs do. |

I'm with you sir, but I doubt that as much as 1% of our fan base would agree! I never refer to us by our initials except in chants/songs such as "The QPR attack". Mind you, I was never certain whether that was referring to our players or "The Loft Boys"! It was the 1967 League Cup final that brought this about & was advertised as the Alphabet Final. It still took years before being adopted by supporters. |

I'm not sure whether Ernest Saunders counts? I admit to not knowing if he ever considered himself as a Rangers man, but I'm fairly sure he was the person to approve of our sponsorship. |

There was a time when it was real. When I repented in the 60's & became a fully paid up supporter of Queens Park Rangers, I was informed that our rivals were Brentford, Millwall & Watford, with Palace a distant next in line. No other London clubs came into consideration! |
