| News Comment | Me, The Auld Fella and Charlie Austin — Column at 15:47:05
I'll tell you something for nothing - he was right about Charlie boy. A true legend and gent, about whom many of our fans should think about the nonsense they spluttered. Your photo reminds me of St Marks Park btw |
| News Comment | West Brom fourth, but winning few friends - Interview at 19:50:48
Ismael's game is brutal to watch. Even if you were winning everything in the land, you would very quickly harp back for more entertaining days. If I'd known what was coming in the home game with Barnsley last year, I'd have suggested resting the players and giving them the points, if only to save me watching it. We regularly have a pass completion of 85-90%, sometimes higher - it was 62% in that game. It's just kick n rush - an insult to the game. As the great Socrates said "Beauty comes first. Victory is secondary" - and that's why we mostly all love this current team and style |
| News Comment | End of Term Report 20/21 — Midfielders at 10:41:15
Whilst not as easy on the eye, I feel Ilias delivers as much during a game as Ebbs did. His tracking and press is often overlooked, and we are blessed to have him. Need a strong season this year, as this could be his last with us. Same for Willock. Both down to their last 2 years at the end of the season, so we’d likely have to sell if we can’t offer them more than championship football |
| News Comment | Warbs talks lockdown form, signings, contracts and defence — Interview at 16:25:16
A bit deluded on height, or is he a short arse who talks up other peoples height to make him look taller? Osman Kakay is 6ft, Luke is 6ft (they're 5ft 9 & 5ft 8) Rob Dickie 6ft 4.5 inches (6ft according to Wiki, which if true here we go again) Diedhiou 6 Ft 5 (a bit closer, but he's actually 6 ft 3 and it was a diving header of sorts) I do like him, but his glass half full comes from his trader days, as does his gambling on the positive outcome. Still better than watching clogg football and he has my backing, especially if dickie works out. |
| News Comment | Clarke-inspired rally comes too late for QPR against Bristol City - Report at 13:40:33
BTW, Clarke needs to play on the left. He's predominantly a right footed player who always looks to come inside. That's where he played on Saturday, and not where he played against S Weds. Leeds fans I know think he's mustard and were seriously bricking it when we signed him just before that game |
