FT, very unlucky to not get the win, much improved performance from Wednesday. Field out next week is a blow but Varane looked excellent off the bench, so may not be quite as much of a miss.

So unlucky Celar, from a great ball forwards by Ashby

HT - we've been the much better team, but we really need to score one of those chances. Morrison (miss aside) has been very good again, Celar much better up top, Madsen starting to put himself about a bit more when we don't have the ball, Morgan looking sharp again too.

Ref hasn't helped, Saito made a meal of it but there's no way he's fouled the Watford defender and the defender's then bundled him over, plus the missed handball.

Had to score but he was falling as the ball came to him. Really need to get one of these over the line.

Thought we were much better today, obviously the missed penalty but Johansson has also made three or four unreal saves. Madsen, Ashby, and Saito the standouts for me. Not quite out of it yet, only two losses in the last six, but we need to scrape a win from somewhere.

Well aside from about two minutes in the middle we've been by far the better team and a decent improvement on before the break. Typical typical typical.

Madsen has been much better today, Ashby's also been quite good out of position, assuming Paal comes on later I wouldn't be surprised to see Dunne go off instead of him.

Much better today, especially the first half, but you have to see that as a missed opportunity, big shame we ran out of steam towards the end.

Celar unlucky to see that go wide, great play to get the shot open

Red card for Bellingham! Very late challenge, very reminiscent of Colback's one in the same fixture last year

Midfield looking much better so far, Madsen unsurprisingly looking much better in a more familiar role.

Celar's press and hold up play has been a big improvement, really hope he gets that goal today.

They've shown Dembele and Fox sitting behind the bench on the stream. Presumably they both pulled out of the squad late on so the Shepperd thing may not be as ridiculous as it looked.

Another game where we should've scored at least 3, completely dominated, and then given up a completely preventable goal via a fortunate deflection.

Last three games we've scored 2 from 17 shots on target, whilst conceding 7 from 14. Something has to change, but when it does we'll be back on track.

He plays the game at his own pace, completely independent of the other 21 players. Not necessarily a bad thing (the beginning of the Plymouth game he was just leaving their midfielders behind every time he got the ball), but it means he probably will drift in and out of games for a while, tonight he did basically nothing, scored and had a hand in the second, then went back to nothing until he went off.

The second goal is a good example of this, everyone else is sprinting around and he's just walking around, even when he's laying it off for Paal.

Overall not great, but given we played a more changed team than they did you'd have taken a draw before the game. Good to be making it through as well though!

Walsh was very good all game (and a good save in the shootout too), Varane much better in the second half, Lloyd looked good off the bench, and Morrison looks a very capable deputy to Cook/JCS. I actually thought, despite us letting them attack a bit too much, we were better in the second half, the only clear cut chance for either team was Madsen right at the end.

On to Luton!
