| News Comment | Brentford pile on the misery as QPR lose six straight — Report at 10:42:38
I both felt for Goss and thought he played very poorly. As Sexton says, he repeatedly overhit cross field balls and looked totally off the pace. But equally, what's Holloway anticipating is going to happen here? A new formation and new central midfield combo aren't suddenly going to outplay the ball playing trio of Brentford with one fewer body in there. There was as farcical moment in the first half where a loose pass form Brentford ended up with Goss but Luongo slightly got in the way, neither player took responsibility and we lost the ball when we should've initiated a counter. It was pretty obvious there was no real understanding between the two of them, which makes it all the more inexplicable considering Manning and Luongo have generally played well together and offer a good balance (admittedly performances have dipped recently). |
