Wonder if the players and staff will do the traditional end of season lap of honour after the game? What would be the crowd reaction I wonder? |

I think I know what you're saying. It's a similar case with Ki, I'm convinced he's only still with us because of our last few shirt sponsors being from Asia. He had a mention in the Bet East announcement. Does make you think. |

Yes but It brought Llorente into the game more and cut out the faffing about at the back . Thought both players had their best games so far this season. 3 points was the main thing, I'm sure the "Swansea way" will return one day. |

I noticed that he was kicking the ball out to the halfway line nearly every time he had it, which brought the forwards into play much quicker, rather than play out through the back as we've been used to. Our defenders have struggled with this, have made too many mistakes, so looks like another good tactical change by Clements which worked last night! |

Why the aggression in your reply and having a go ??????? All I've done is a short heartfelt post on my current thoughts, yes they are many other moments from the distant past of which I've forgotten, they don't mean anything now anyway only what's currently going on! Your reply is the very reason I rarely post, despite the fact that I'm on this site everyday since it started reading everyone else's views & comments! No offence meant but just thought I'd reply. Firstly, Happy New Year to all fellow Swans fans, lets hope (and pray) that 2017 is a better year. In 43 years supporting the Swans I've never felt so down as yesterday. That period in the 2nd half where the ground fell silent for what seamed forever. There was an eerie, weird feeling around the ground and I remember looking at our players, previously good performers, international players and a club legend all looking completely lost and hopelessly unable to create anything. I felt sorry for them and how such a sad state our club has become. With hopefully a new manager in place, I hope it's for the long term and he has plenty of player contacts. I think most of us agree that we need 5 or 6 experienced players immediately to go straight into the first team. That to me is the biggest test yet from the new owners, what players do we get, those that could keep us in the Premier League or those for the Championship ??? It's going to be an interesting next few weeks to say the least, never a dull moment being a Swans fan. STID. |

Look what happened when we did, he certainly wasn't premier league quality. He obviously knew that and did well to move on. [Post edited 26 Jul 2016 21:49]

I must admit Francesco was not my first choice as Manager/Coach for the new season but after keeping us up yes why not, he deserves the chance. My concern is the problem over communication due to his limited English and after seeing his interview after the Bristol Rovers friendly, It seems to be worse even cringeworthy. He certainly is not comfortable in front of the camera and I felt embarrassed for him. I'm just wondering how much of an effect this could be for any potential payers we are looking to sign, many players sign because of the manager, is this one of the reasons Joe Allen signed for Stoke? We certainly should be able to attract decent players now that we are an established Premier League club. But we also seem out of favour with the press because of poor communication from the manager and we are no longer "media friendly". They seem to be staying away from us compared to the times with Rodgers, Laudrup and Monk where we were never out of the news and always giving interviews. This all gives me a lack confidence for the new season especially with the lack of signings so far. But it could all change in the next few weeks and we finish in the top 8 !!! Why do I worry? |

Monk's first big mistake selecting this team! No decent striker & obviously no interest in the FA Cup, I thought we could go all the way in this competition. Hope I'm wrong but we could get well beaten. |

Good luck to him & thanks for the goal against Man City. Seemed a nice lad but never more than Championship standard in my opinion. |

I have BT Sports free with Virgin's XL TV package without subscribing to Sky Sports. At least I can see some premiership games free! |
