Acca payout, stories of success
at 10:17 3 Sep 2024

Most weeks I pop a fiver on over 1.5 goals in all the Championship and L1 games. Only bet I do.

I always leave out QPR (and any games that are ridicoulous odds on e.g. 1/6, 1/7)

Came in twice in last 3 years, both times was c£1300 payout

Its purely a bit of fun and had many weeks 1 or 2 games let you down!!

Retro chanting
at 13:22 29 Aug 2024

They were a few rows behind me, if I am honest, I thought by the end of the game it sounded pretty embarrassing. Funny (ish) the first time, but when ended with (what sounded like) three people chanting it I was out!!!!!

I like the way you put 'as it took off' - I am not sure it ever did

Luton HOME Carabo Cup now on Sale
at 16:00 20 Aug 2024

Yep was a bit surprised that STs couldnt get seat but would assume that they know it wont be a full house and only a week to kick off. They would probably have to give 3-4 days for ST to claim seat which would then only leave 3-4 days to pop them on General Sale.

This route is the easiest option with the time they had to play with.

Anyway, gets me to have a change of view from our STs. Gone SAR, rushed while on a work call to get them and then find out I have got some with a restricted view!!! Are the front row in Block F near the post on SAR that restricted?

Chair - what's the story?
at 14:20 16 Aug 2024

When Chair was on loan at Stevenage, I was told that most of his goals were from outside the box. Then heard that Warburton didnt want players shooting from outside as data says that there is a low probabilty of scoring.

He seems to have scored a few more from outside recently (I could be wrongbut that what I seem to remember e.g. Leeds)

Both my lads when younger done away games and were brilliant.

One was Coventry in the Adel days (we met him in coridor when he was told he was on the bench) and one was Villa (when Albert played for them and he said to my when waiting outside the changing room "You R's" when he turned up) Nedam was captain for us that night and was great with my lad, also Smithies found him after the game in the crowd and gave him his gloves (which we still have)

Villa were great with all of us, gave 5 of us who went with my youngest dinner before the game!!

As others have said, junior hoops/ST holder, email the club.

So sad. Randall was at the first event I ever attended back in November 1991. I see him lots over the years and feel lucky to have been to AWOL twice and see him there.

He had the skill to mix together two tunes and just let them roll seamlessly. He done this way before any sync button was invented and with a genre in Hardcore that was 'frantic' (but beautiful!) in production. This was a skill many could not master.

RIP Randall

Sonic Hoop - Its not a crazy idea, remember Jurgen Kloop signed Steven Caulker from us and played him up front three times!!

Danny has pretty much summed up my views/experiecne. Mine are now 20 and 16 and those early days were relentless. The relationship dynamic totally changes. All I can say is - Enjoy it, when its tough just try and remember it will get easier.

Will just say that Stevenage (L1) beat Ipswich last year 2-1 in a pre-seaon friendly. They also lost to Cambridge (L1) in another, also 2-1.

Ipswich done alright last season!

Twickets

Thats a shame re Twickets.

Could we do something here for Spares? Always have it pinned so people on the board can grab one if need be.

I have only used Twickets once but was easy and nice to grab a ticket under FV.

I wouldnt advise to go up a size on Hoodies.

I am a M and got one and it swamped me! I sent back for a S, which is a tiny bit snug but far better fit than the M.

I forgot about the 20% General Sale.

I did see it went down to those with 100 points though, so pretty sure most that really wanted had an oppurtunity.

I have purchased a few things over the years.I have always got normal size and been fine. I actually got a Retro hoodie recently and had to send back as was too big. To be fair it was an easy swap and got a new one through. Stick with normal size as its not made by kit supplier.

I was worried about getting 3 for this (all 1000+) after reading the "1700 in queue"

It ended up going General Sale!!!

So not sure we will sell loads more now. I guess if they open up another stand and we only do another 100 more it doent make financial sense with cost of Stewards, Turnstile Opertator, Refreshments.

Best and worst gigs you've attended
at 13:27 26 Jun 2024

To add to the list. I was fortunate that as a teenager my Dad took me to loads of Soul concerts in the mid-late 8-0s, see all of these before I was 18:-

Cameo, Atlantic Starr, Alex O Neal, Freddie Jackson, Keith Sweat, Melisa Morgan, Teena Marie, Jean Carne, Will Downing, Mica Paris, Fatback Band, Guy, Maze (others that I have probably forgot!!)

I actually went to the Jazz Cafe last weekend for Fatback, Bill Curtis still doing his thing at 92 years old! Was a superb night.

I also recently see SOS Band, Melisa Morgan and Glenn Jones at Indigo O2 last month. Melisa Morgan was excellent, SOS Band very polished.

Best Gig out of that - Cameo were amazing
Not got a worst as enjoyed all II have seen in some way!

Been to many others over the years (not just Soul) Louis Dunford in recent years has been excellent as well as Passanger.
