I lke the cut of his jib. It's refreshing after the mis-guided path we were following before. I think if he (and Les), have a plan for the squad that extends past this summer, actually 2 plans, for both the alternatives, then he perhaps s hould be retained in his current position. I'm not aware of his thinking on this, but I like to hear it from him. I think he's earned at least that. [Post edited 8 Apr 2015 1:01]

Absolutely agree. Woy had the opportunity to play 3 of the back line of the enemy together. Players who know each other games inside out. We may despise them, but it's kind of obvious in hindsight that that's a much better defence. Woy is paid to spot stuff like that. |

Spot on. Just imagine what the internet will do for business in another 10 years, or whenever this great white elephant is finally built. |

Nothing like Scotland. Scotland is voting on whether it wants to be entirely independent. Crimea (allegedly) wants to join a federation |
| Forum Thread | Anyone else losing interest? at 22:41 22 Feb 2014
The worst aspect of this season for me, not just today, but many many games this season, is that we are so so, so boring to watch. How HR has managed to get such a bang average side out of what is basically a very good (and expensive) set of players is a mystery to me. There's 3/4 of the season gone and he still appears not to have a plan A, let alone B & C! Rapidly losing interest for this year. Rangers have been many things over the years, but I cant remember them boring me to death before. Today was like watching an endless loop. I'd look up and it would be Hill to Dunne, forward to Carroll, Jenas, Carroll, back to Hill, Jenas again, Carroll, wide to Junior who promptly falls over and concedes. Charlton lump it forward. Repeat. Nose in the program for 5, look up, the same. Talk to neighbour about kitchens for 5. Look up. Hill to Dunne, forward to Jenas....... I'm sure this is partly to blame for the recent arguments in the stands too. Assemble several thousand people anywhere and then basically show them nothing but meaningless midfield possession and its hardly a surprise that little things can blow up. It looks like the earlier wins (and Charlies goals) were indeed just papering over the cracks... |
| Forum Reply | REVISED EXPECTATIONS - Where will QPR finish this season? at 01:27 5 Sep 2013
I'd just like to have a season where I can watch my team play with a reasonable expectation of winning the game. Last 2 years have been not much fun. If this means staying in the Championship so be it.. I expect however the people who decides these things are going for a proper tilt at the title. With the squad now we are favourites for a reason. |

Somerset. M3 then A303 just past Basingstoke, keep on for ages, admire Stonehenge on the right about 70 miles out of London, watch for A37 to the left and Yeovil after about 120. Nice trip but the towns a bit rough around the edges. [Post edited 1 Sep 2013 0:46]

I can see us overhauling Reading and Southampton but worry about who the other team might be? Could it finally be Wigan's turn? [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Sir Les doesn't seem to feature much in these lists. What about the one away to Wimbledon (1994?) where he ran from halfway? Holloway scored that day also in a 2-1 win I think. I also remember a classic free kick of his at Oldham (1993?) where we went on to loose heavily. |

I wonder what's the record for the fewest games won and staying up? The way we play at the moment our future looks like 13 more draws (mostly 0-0) and 30 points. Turn 4 of those into wins and the total is 38, usually enough not matter how well our immediate rivals might be doing right now. |

I don't see this as any sort of masterstroke by Cameron. He's only pandering to his own party base. It's going to take some sort of miracle for the Tories to get a second term, so its a moot point anyway. |

I listened to the game on the car radio and later watched the highlights on MOTD. In both versions we played well early and went ahead 1 by HT (reason to worry!), got battered in the 2nd half, but got a valuable point. Was my take on the game massively different from those who were there? (apart from the sheer pleasure of being at the football of course). At no time was I sat in an armchair. |

We need to go on a little run now, next 10 games, double our points basically. 2 mid table teams, Swansea and Sunderland, have done exactly this. Swans 16 points from last 10, and Sunderland 15. This would leave us a fighting chance in the last 5 games to get the 6,7,8 points we need. No point giving up yet. The manager is quite good at the transfer window thing, so expect improvements still. |
