As I said in the match thread, of course Cifuentes has to cut his cloth accordingly - both in terms of the players we brought in without bothering to scout in the flesh this summer and our extensive injury list. But...
But - he is wholly responsible for our tactics and how we set up. The fact we've only got the worst of our shit squad left standing isn't the reason we attack slower than rust. And it sure as shit ain't the reason why we stubbornly persist with defending corners with all 11 players back in our own box, even the sub 5-footers who aren't going to beat anyone in the air but could be an out ball when clearing a corner if stationed on the half way line.
That is totally on Cifuentes and he's shown zero sign of acknowledging the ridiculousness of both this whole season. He really needs to get back to pragmatic Marti of last season and address the blindingly obvious failings that he does actually have the power to influence |

Just for shits and giggles (minus the giggles) I've been watching Santos since he came on and fukc me he's managed to stay 5 yards away from the ball at all times. Like, he's constantly the wrong side of his man, like life is passing him by and everything is a surprise |
