Eze makes his return as QPR eye rare cup run - Preview
at 16:00:20

I'll be honest Anna Kendrick has never really done it for me but given I'm stuck away with work this week I'd probably take it over trying to coax a usable internet connection out of the hotel.

Strangest of seasons has Norwich still on cusp of play-offs - Interview
at 13:00:40

"For his part, there were times when it felt like Wagner was one defeat away from the sack, and always, without fail, he somehow managed to conjure up a win. It was uncanny. It felt like he needed the jeopardy of a P45 before he could get a tune out of this team."

Paging Mark Hughes...

Light at the end of the tunnel, or a train coming towards us? – Analysis
at 17:01:15

I need some time to get my head round "found another way not to score" but I'll just go with the brilliant "marzipan dildo territory" as that's a great turn of phrase. Great piece thank you

How Ainsworth’s dream job turned into his, and our, worst nightmare – Column
at 10:40:48

It's the last line isn't it? A problem but not the problem. I'm so desparately sad for him, for the club and the fans. What an absolute sh1tshow, this is shaping up worse than 2001. thanks for writing that, can't have been easy.

As good as we've got? Report

it's rare for me to comment on the star man award but each and every one of the 713 that made the trip in the middle of the week at £45 a pop deserves it this week.

End of Term Report 22/23 — Attack
at 09:44:23

thanks again for all the write ups, it really is appreciated.

A little churlish of me to pick one thing out but like you I'm a fan of Chair and I'm not sure what more he could have done given his numbers, to make him a B/C seems to burden him with the cack that surrounded him, solid B.

Royals fall victim to Roberts' redemption story - Report
at 09:32:47

Whilst at school I, on occasion, recorded music from the radio. Whilst it hasn't proved the death knell for the industry I can't help feeling at least partially responsible for Jeff Hendrick (and the FA Cup, League Cup, relegations, all the players that turn into footballing Gods on their return and Bob Malcolm)

We short of knew... QPR confirm McClaren appointment - Column
at 16:11:59

"Another problem McClaren may find is that people who think Holloway’s sacking was harsh won’t give him much time to settle in and get going here"

I'm certainly one of those people that was (is) pro-Holloway and think his sacking was harsh however to lay it at the door of McClaren would be churlish in the extreme, he didn't make the decision, TF and the board did. I actually think McClaren is a reasonable choice as manager but just that it's an appointment that need not have been made.

What other options do we have? Column
at 17:16:21

We're pretty much precisely where I expected us to be this season, remit achieved, no need to change manager AGAIN. The comment above about Brentford is very relevant here too as yet another change might well have no material impact and all you've done then is got rid of someone who knows this club inside.

Sylla leaves it late to slay Tigers - Report
at 09:36:15

My first reaction when Sylla scored was to look at the linesman to see him flagging the rather obvious push. He didn't. Happy Days!

@davman my daughter (5) has asked to go again and I genuinely don't know if I want to take her when reading what the atmosphere is like there at the moment. It's incredibly sad.

Townsend’s miraculous nine-loan rise to greatness — history
at 07:48:36

*hearts* Andy Sinton, the one player at 37 I still have on my wall by my desk, though in mitigation it is signed.

Excellent piece football doesn't need to be complicated. Neil tried to keep it relatively simple with Tarbs, "give him the ball, just don't do it in your own half". Job done.
