| News Comment | Sinclair’s immediate impact crowns Cifuentes’ successful Fox hunt – Report at 13:33:29
Great summary, So glad to have been there! Ref was attrocious but they are never answerble to anyone for such a one-sided appoach! Re your comment: I don’t know if he was going for a big camera save and got it wrong, but it basically broke every rule in every goalkeeping manual, and Barnes Wallis was subsequently able to bounce his bomb into the unguarded far corner of the net. Oooh it moved in the air, oooh it took a deflection, oooh he did well to get to it at all… bollocks. It’s abysmal goalkeeping. Watch Steve Cook’s reaction – he’s exactly right. Thanks and I am so glad that at least one other person cosniders it as abysmal goalkeeping! |
| News Comment | Prestige performance puts QPR back in the hunt - Report at 16:14:25
The thing which bothers me most is that we cannot seem to get past the 'being one goal up'. The number of chances (when we do play well ) that are not converted is frustrating and leads to our throwing away points when we let goals in. There were two very close near misses in that game which should not have been allowed to occur. Yes Field was brilliant (or perhaps lucky) but it is so obvious that other teams can see how atrocious we are at defending corners. That game could so easily have turned and all the 'good stuff' been undone by another lack of concentration! I'll take the 3 points and be pleased, but I consider it more luck that judgement or 'exceptional' team play and hopefully our luck will hold as if it doesn't, I cannot see us avoiding further set piece goals against us! I wish they could be solid at the back but have run out of wishes! |
| News Comment | The season of evil begins with the birth of a new year – Report at 18:58:15
Marti is reported as saying he wants us to boo- because that is exactly how he feels and shows we care. Problem is the players cannot hear it, they are too busy listening to the voices in their heads telling them that they are good players. We will go down, they will disappear and we shall be stuck in League 1 - but they just don't care! I'm way past frustration, irritation and am up to the level of seething anger at the frauds claiming salaries they are no way entitled to. |
| News Comment | How Ainsworth’s dream job turned into his, and our, worst nightmare – Column at 15:12:56
I keep posting that it is the players and people keep citing it is Ainsworth so really glad you have summarised and leave us with the same conclusion! Thing is - if the players either don’t ‘get it’ or don’t ‘want to get it’ or - as for many ‘haven’t got what it takes at this level’ - what can any manager do with them?? |
| News Comment | Innnnn one - Report at 00:36:59
If I say great report- clearly I mean the honesty not the performance. What I really don’t understand (and hopefully you can clarify) is why , when so many of us can see the issues (the forum us full of observers) and we don’t shoot at the target and our defence keeps letting in the same type of goal, why is Gareth not asked this when interviewed by our supporters interviewer. Gareth - why are we not shooting and scoring - no bullshit mate, why? Gareth- why do the supporters have to continually watch the non existent defence Allie the same goals? Gareth - what are your coaches actually doing? So why are these questions not being asked???!!! Please can we have an interview which imparts to the manager and hence to the team that we are fed up with their ineptitude !! In closing, Your report about our shape again prompts me to tell you to watch the YouTube Monty Python sketch of Bournemouth Gynaecologists versus Watford Long John Silver impersonators- it is classic and the Silver XI wear Red and Black too!! Please watch it - it might cheer you and others from the gloom we are in!! |
| News Comment | Stop me if you've heard any of this before - Report at 01:08:30
Spot on!! I keep posting that I am seeing the same thing week on week!! Why why why- if we can ALL see it and more onerously, opposing teams simply have to watch one game to see how to open us up- does the manager not see it, the various coaches not see it, the players not see it??? Are they so far ‘up themselves’ ( forgive the phrase) to not realise or accept it is them?!! I really do despair are the ineptitude across the whole club and wonder at the support they still have watching worse than ‘park football’!! Professional players ?? Both words are inappropriate!! Saying they are professional means only one thing - they take money! They are not professional in the other sense of the word ie ‘committed to the cause’! Loafers, wasters, dumb and dumber and dumbfounded !!! Watch the videos and earn your pay package!!! |

Whichever manager we have he/she will not prevent the R's letting in a goal within 5 minutes of the start or end of either half. That is wholly on the players and their mental attitude, awareness and concentration. How many times have I heard someone take the words out of my mouth by shouting 'wake up Rangers!' How many times do we have to watch the players (whomever they are) not having the mental awareness and or alertness to fight from the kick off to the final whistle of each half? You know the goal is coming, don't you?! I know its coming, whoever the manager is knows its coming, the board know its coming, the press know, Jeff Stelling knows and- here is the point - the OTHER TEAM KNOWS!! The only one's who put their hands to their heads as the instinctive sign of surprise and the Ranger's players which body language translates as either 'How the heck did that happen' or ' Crikey, it has happened again!' - but it is definitely a surprise to them. Unfortunately the weak mental mindset doesn't only affect the defenders. Concentration by the strikers and midfield is also lacking. The commentators always comment, there is time left for one last chance - ONE LAST CHANCE and anyone with mental capacity whose job each week - what they are paid for - is to ensure that the ball goes into the goal MUST be alert for that opportunity and stay focused. Good strikers do this, knowing that they can relax once they have done their job. So, in my opinion, it is not the manager who sends the team to sleep - it is the players. If I mess up in my job - I am accountable. If I am not doing something correctly, missing targets, etc i have to practice or retrain until I can hot my targets and do my job- without fail. When do you see or hear the players being accountable ? I kicked the ball over the bar when all I needed to do was to do my job and what I am paid to do! So I am going to go out there every day and work harder- but more so I am going to stay alert. If I don't do my job correctly and let a goal in either and or at the start and or end of either half- I am going to hold myself accountable and donate 25% of my wages for that week to the NHS or a local school and be professionally accountable for my actions!. If I miss a sitter or cross a ball that no one has any chance of connecting with, within the last 5 minutes of either half then I haven't done my job well and I shall consider myself accountable and will practise in my own time until I get it right and will not accept full payment for my job as I haven't done what I was paid to do! No- its not the manager !!! In closing, back in the mid 60's and early 70's five minutes before the end of the game, the lights would be switched on in the old stand opposite the mudbank and a roar of encouragement would go around the ground as if to wake the team up and warn them or spur them on- strangely this often worked! Keep Warburton but make players accountable and ensure that they are alert at the kick off and five minutes from the end! |
