Due to cases within the Birmingham camp. Does that put our game with them on the 2nd Jan in doubt now?
We could be on the other side of the coin now, where we had it relatively early on the rest of the leagues teams are starting to “catch up” for want of a better phrase.
is there a way of getting AJ into the team without going back to 4-4-2? IMO I don't think 442 will work as we don't have the midfield players for 2 in the middle. But we are in desperate need of some more clout going forward.
I know its kind of like a 442 but with Carroll sitting deeper controlling the tempo and keeping the ball and Barton's Guile. Unfortunately based on the last couple of performances its Niko that looses out as I would play O'Neil wide right for his work-rate as we would need cover in the center and also a bit more cover for when BEO goes forward.
AJ playing just off of Austin - not in the hole more off the shoulder. (its a bit hard to illustrate it on here!
I noticed a few people on here have used this, How exactly does it work?
If you have a season ticket how does the person buying your seat get into the ground as I assume you don't actually send them your actual season ticket card! Also how do you receive the money? Is it a bank transfer or do you need a PayPal account?
I'm sure somebody on here (may have even been Norf) used to put a bet on every game for Big Dan Shittu to score the first goal. And over the course of the season would normally be up based on the odds of him scoring and goals he got.
Just wondered if anyone would be revisiting this bet with Samba? I'm thinking of starting it tomorrow, surely he will get at least a couple of goals before the season is up!
Having read the match report, there was a line in there regarding Cisse making a habit of being offside.
I thought the same over the first couple of games too. So having got a seat in the Paddock last night between the centre circle and 18 yard box I decided to spend about 5 minutes concentrating on him and watching his movement.
I now know why he always goes offside. Its basically due to the slowness of the ball into him.
He sits on the shoulder of the defender, and as soon as our midfield has the ball he's already making his move. Unfortunately we take far too long to look for the ball, or don't see the pass at all.
3 times Dyer had the ball in midfield and 3 times Cisse went on a run only for him to take about 6 touches and by the time he went to play the pass Cisse was offside. The 3rd time he did his nut at Dyer.
The only thing I can see is that Cisse has the pace to beat most defenders so maybe it would be worth him giving the defender a yard or 2 before making the run. Alternately we could pass the ball earlier!!
