That gets me too. Could be worse though in the last rugby World Cup ball was in play on average 33minutes out of 80 |

The only thing we can do is refuse to pay to watch it on tv … I gave up paying a long time ago. These types of tournaments only really get interesting in the ko stages for the neutrals. Saturation point has been reached for many [Post edited 6 Dec 11:12]

It was refreshing to see Man City being dominated for a change. I’d be happy with either Liverpool or Arsenal taking the title. Two good footballing sides - Arne Slot conducts himself well though I don’t think I’ve seen him do an interview after losing yet - both Pep & Arteta are pretty unbearable when they lose [Post edited 2 Dec 18:37]

The way we were playing until recently is certainly a significant factor for many. However many of the empty swathes of seats are in the south stand which was designated as the family stand. It should be of concern to those in charge as those missing kids are the future of the clubs fan base. We need a good run to get some backsides back on seats over the festive season - winning football will get people back, it’s the feel good factor & atmosphere of knowing your team is going to be competitive & favourites to win home matches that gets people in the ground |

The defence has certainly improved. One of the main reasons is that we have not suffered too many injuries & have been able to field a fairly well settled defence. The coach does not have to play sub-standard loan players like last season (Ashby & Humphreys). The way our full backs play is down to the coach’s tactics. The lack of creativity elsewhere in the side means that on many occasions our full backs have been the best sources for getting in position to cross the ball. Unfortunately they do get caught out of position too frequently. |

Two decent performances, Burnley & Leeds, zero points. Tonight was all about the result. Lucky to hold out but well done to lads & supporters who travelled. We know we can play just need to put in some consistent performances & we can start looking upwards. Thank heavens Jerry couldn’t play tonight |

46 years old, throwing coins at a football match, dear me … I bet his kids (& grandkids) will be so proud of him |

You have to question the tactics of playing such a high line against a side who thrive on counterattacking & pace. Predictable outcome, suicidal defending. The lack of pace was evident last season & exploited by the top sides in the division as it was yesterday |

Think we would all want someone better & preferably younger. Who’s running the recruitment show now Watson is off the books ? |

This ‘saga’ or ‘long running soap opera’ (not my words) is a drama purely created by incompetence within the club leadership. It may well be seen as a massive statement of intent by some but for me it is just righting the wrongs of the old leadership regime. In a competently run organisation these contracts should have been signed sealed & delivered before the start of the season. Just hope we can get these signings over the line, there are no done deals yet |

Possible unless we have someone else lined up - but only on the basis that he accepts less than what he was previously offered. He s messed us about too much but we are desperate for a creative influence |

The only surprise here is the apparent surprise to some that we haven’t sold out. Even in our EPL days we failed to sell out a home FA cup quarter final tie versus Spurs. It looks like we’ll sell out our allocation on more away trips than home matches this season |

Never been a user of Twitter, Facebook, X, Instagram, etc. etc. but thought I would try to sign up to see what this is all about. Alas, my username is already taken. Think I’ll stick to this forum after all |

We need more skilful creative players capable of creating & bagging a few goals. Nice to have but nowhere the near the type of player of what we need right now - maybe someone we could look at when Allen & Naughton disappear from the books |

My guess is a few hundred thousand maximum. It has been reported that Nathan Wood went for between £2-3m - info in the latest reports is that included compo for RM breach of contract |
