Nobody has a problem looking further afield for new players in the slightest, it was something that needed to be done but it was done at the exclusion of looking at any players already in the UK. The squad needed a balance of new players, the Championship is unforgiving and a better league than people realise as a lot of quality has filtered down from the Premiership. We needed some of the new influx to have some Championship level experience, when you compare our recruitment to the rest of the division it looks poor and we spent money for a change.
The budget that the club were working with was never going to allow for more than about 10 players, we are not Nottingham Forest we can't manipulae the transfer market, you need a second club to be able to hide transfer fees. Having lost some key players it was critical that we recruited well, now it's all personal opinion but a number of the new players look out of their depth, as a club we don't have the time to spend a whole season seeing if we can bring them up to speed.
We don't know they only use data, which is true but I think nearly everything points to the fact that none of the players were actually scouted by the club, how many times do you think any of them were watched before we actually bought them.
Everyone wanted Dykes gone, I'm not sure where you get that from, the bloke added a lot to the team in his hold up and link up play, admittedly he let himself down as he wasn't quick and couldn't dribble with the ball etc but the point being we've replaced him with Celar who looks a lot worse, were suffering because Frey is injured whose marginally better than Dykes. It's an absolute mess on the striker front we should never have gone into this season with only Celar and Frey as strikers.
We should of pushed for getting a striker on loan, there were options out there.....
The list goes on we should have signed a left back, according to a thread on here Hayden was an option but we went for Ashby , so we ditched getting Championship experience for a right back whose on loan from Newcastle.
We don't know contract lengths that's for sure and it's embarrassing, Nourry thinks he can hide information from the fans that in some way gives him a tactical advantage, its a joke ....
So the CEO has said that the signings are a collaborative process, how do we know that or have some of them just been dumped on Marti and he's been told to get on with it as he's the Head Coach, we are obviously not going to know any of the facts because Nourry has stopped our Manager doing interviews, is that not possibly telling that the CEO is frightened of what he might say....
There is a big injury list which is contributing to the clubs current situation, with a bit of luck it may improve but don't hold your breath, Marti deserves huge credit for last season in keeping us up I personally just don't want him made to be the scapegoat. |

Bump - Sadly no news of his sacking yet, because one things for sure he won't walk.
Somebody posted that people are against him because of his age and he's posh, that's absolute rubbish, we have all given him plenty of time to create a stable club but all the points posted by 1JD on page 5 are damning evidence, we need somebody with experience in the position who is not just relying on analytics. |

Yup the points Ned made are true but it's your last paragraph which is telling, we've all given Nourry the benefit of the doubt from day one, i was shocked that we had given the job to a 26 year old, but I thought to myself don't be ageist, just because I'm a Senior fan (lol) , everybody deserves a chance.
The posts made by Nico and Hunter on the MC out thread on Nourry are very telling and the list of Nourrys decisions on our strategy on page 5 of this thread by 1JD are very damning.
The owners mainly Rubén are going to have to make a decision in the next couple of weeks, do we stick or twist because by January it will be too late, ok we can't get any more players in before January but somebody has to decide whether we stick with the Manager and I feel he has been given very little support, just get on and coach seems to be the attitude. Absolutely I wake up now worrying what this child running our club is going to do next, he needs to be sacked because he won't walk, he's on a nice six figure salary and he won't walk away from that, Lee Hoos should resign for appointing him.
Can we also stop posting on the MC has to go thread unless you have some weird desire to get rid of a manager who has been stitched up by the CEO, most of the posts on there are highlighting the dubious career statistics of Nourry, fraud takes on all sorts of guises.
The manager has been let down in so many ways and after his miraculous escape act last season he deserves the right to try and dig us out of this hole, any new manager will just be working with the same players and that's the big problem, how have we let somebody so inexperienced to have the keys to the finances and dictate all strategy.
Waking up to see articles on the Internet of Gregory Vignal eyed for QPR job as former Rangers star on shortlist to replace Marti Cifuentes is madness, the bloke has zero experience so I guess that would attract Nourry, I'm sure most would agree without the injuries we would very likely be in a better position and that's not Martis fault. The general consensus of opinion is that we need to keep Marti and get rid of Nourry so any chance this thread can die a death and not have it at the top of the page, people like Nourry will look at social media all the time and if he thinks the fan base want Marti out he's going to use that as an excuse to persevere with his one eyed management. |

Exactly that list is all Nourrys responsibility, major decisions which have got us to a worse situation than last year after spending what little money we had in the Summer, signing 10 players without one of them having Championship experience is madness, he's just gambling with the money like he's in a casino, a young man of 26 with no football experience.
I totally appreciate that sacking Nourry now is not going to change what happens on the pitch in the next two months but he needs to go and be replaced with somebody with experience, Hoos is just as culpable because I'm guessing it's him who sold the idea to Rubén. As for Belk he's just done his job identifying targets for positions in the team, it's the Director of Football laughably Nourry who decides what markets we are shopping in and the squad composition.
Some sort of change needs to happen to try and start rectifying the situation now, this season may well be too late because we look totally bereft with attacking intent and by January it looks as if we will be cut adrift. |

Sensible post because it's the decision making that's the problem, Rubén from all we can see from the outside is a good man and only has the best interests of the club at heart.
He has put his trust in other people to make decisions as he is based thousands of miles away from Loftus Road, but as you will rightly say he must have the final say on some issues he's the one keeping the club afloat.
That said I'm quite sure he wasn't involved in all of the Summer transfers they are down to Nourry and Belk, once the people have been appointed he lets them get on with the job. The reason we're in such a mess is because a number of the deals we did in the summer were incredibly naive and did not allow for needing players with Championship experience to be recruited or retained, I'd Dykes and Larkeche would be a big help at the moment.
So the recruitment of Nourry was very poor because he was and is far too inexperienced, to give him so much power was asking for trouble and for that I blame Lee Hoos, some of this is guesswork but I think he was so impressed by Nourry in his other work he thought he could take over and run a football club without any football knowledge. To give Nourry the role of CEO and DOF was madness, he's an intelligent young man but that's it, we need experience at the top running the budget and making the decisions.
We cant get new owners at the moment but Hoos should step aside immediately and they should replace Nourry and Belk as well, a clean sweep.....
Have a look at other Championship clubs transfer dealings in the Summer, far more intelligence used to create balanced squads and not just using a bunch of statistics.
There's plenty of examples out there of bringing players in to improve clubs, one that immediately springs to mind is Ipswich last year picking up Luongo for nothing and him playing all season alongside Morsy, the point being we didn't look at anything else apart from a bunch of analytics. Exactly the cost of getting new owners is massive as has been highlighted by Clive a number of times, they don't grow on trees, we are not going to get new owners with the current state of play of the club, nothing makes the club an attractive proposition. |

Certainly didn't see those figures at all when we signed him, now people are guessing and probably inflating the transfer fee as they are hugely pissed off......
Agree with Watford the big problem may well be the length of contract and salary, let's face it he's never going to move on and at the moment Madsen looks like a downgrade on Dozzell and I would never have thought that was achievable with a decent budget and a half decent bit of scouting. |

Look I know we all think they are crap and were in a desperate mess but when we were buying the players the figures talked about were between 1.5 to 2.5 so I don't think we've paid anywhere near that figure.......oh there still a waste of very limited resource money.... |

That short clip of an interview from Dave Mc of WLS on the match report thread is pretty damning on the Larkeche decision, when he says it was a club decision to release Larkeche for a loan that doesn't sound like a man who endorsed the decision.
Personally I support Marti because he was given a poor hand last season and did a very good job, how is he rewarded that's giving him poorer squad options this season because we relied solely on Analytics for our transfers, that's down to Nourry.
Nourry needs to man up and walk away, that's not going to happen so how long before Hoos, Amit and Rubén wake up and smell the coffee, it was a huge mistake giving somebody with such little football knowledge and experience the CEO and Director of Football role, he has to go at least Marti will then be able to talk freely to the media and Clive might even get an interview. Mmm he was total garbage and has been so far a waste of a very limited transfer budget, how long are we expected to persevere with him until we decide he's not cut out for the Championship, I saw him make one good cross field pass, must admit I wasn't focusing on him all the time but I just never saw him getting involved and the word tackling is obviously lost in translation.
The recruitment in the Summer was poor because it was driven solely by analytics and those stats are good evidence as to why they fail, it's more evidence for me why Nourry has to go. [Post edited 7 Nov 10:37]
