Ticket Sales?
at 13:10 2 Aug 2016

I have wondered the same thing - you'd imagine it might be useful to let supporters have a cooling off period as the emotional effects of the season kind of tail off over the summer. That said I can understand the scheduling they chose from the club's financial point of view.

I didn't renew either but part of me still has the itch. My old seat is still available but £642 is a bit of a cheeky price tag.

Polter interview on offish
at 16:43 10 Mar 2016

Don't know if he just senses the lack of an alternative character or he's naturally inclined to it himself, but he seems to talk a lot on the pitch. Wherever he ends up long term, future captain material?

From TF's interview last week it was JFH that decided Yun 'wasn't his type of player'. Reports from Charlton fans so far are a bit more favorable.

According to this bio, he made it big teaming up with Alisher Usmanov over many years:

Alisher Usmanov is certainly an interesting individual.

But I doubt the average Everton fan cares too much.

Very unpleasant bunch. Coins were thrown over in the A block corner.

Yun off to Charlton

I hope this is true. Poor guy deserves a shot somewhere. While Konchesky got to dazzle the cameras today, Yun was wheeled out with a youth teamer into the family zone this morning.

Looked quite good for most of his brief appearance but that botched clearance at the end could have soured the entire day.

That was before my life as a QPR fan, but the guy who has the seats next to me said exactly the same thing.

It just feels a lot easier getting behind a squad containing this type of character as opposed to your Remys, Kranjcars or Rio Ferdinands.

Outside of the workrate, just seems like a really decent character on the surface as well. Tweets that he's fckd off when not playing, instead of tucking into a kebab. Moves to Gerrards X rather than closer to the bright lights. Doesn't ignore his mascot during pre-kick off lineups. Checks in on his teammates when they go down. On top of it all, contributes to goals.

For all the rogues the support has been subjected to over the past few years, this guy is surely a breath of fresh air.

I spent the money I had earmarked for it on something else last weekend. Including some Halloumi. I can probably find the money again if something changes my mind.

I've only been attending for a few years, after becoming an Acton local and being indirectly influenced by Steve Gallen. I go alone and QPR isn't a social club to me. I won't be missed.

I don't care about which league the club is in so much (although 500+ for League One isn't acceptable). I grew up a football agnostic in Hillingdon surrounded by people latching onto Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal. It was a pleasure to eventually tie myself to a local West London team that I can get to from the toilet seat in my bathroom to a seat in the ground with my name on it in (in London terms) the blink of an eye.

The match day experience has gone a bit too sour for me this season though. I don't envy clubs trying to win new supporters.

Any chance this is a ray of hope for Gallen? I'm sure Ramsey mentioned on the podcast that he has positive history with Steve at some point.

Yun

His contract is up and I'd be amazed if he wanted to stay after yet another season of being frozen out by a Premier League loanee in the Championship.

As per the gospel according to Warnock, TF was keen on signing Korean players early in his reign at QPR and if I recall correctly in his book he mentions that he even went with Neil on a scouting trip to the UAE to look at one, all long before Park arrived obviously.

God knows who brought Yun in and under what circumstances. To me it looked like we might have stumbled upon a competent gem with good legs at a good age. Redknapp obviously thought otherwise for a long time. Who knows what Ramsey/Les/Warnock/JFH have made of him this season? They can't think that highly of him if they think - at this stage - it's more worthwhile to roll out a 34 year old loanee every week.

Kim Bo-Kyung at Wigan found himself in employment visa limbo when he tried to sign on for Blackburn when his contract ran out. I can see the same thing happening with Yun.

I wonder how well the early 'discount' window is going on the season tickets. £535 for the (admittedly remote) possibility of League 1 football.

Two goals scored and one set up in the space of two weeks. Makes those games Phillips started as the lone striker look that much more ridiculous.

The Inquisition are watching him closely though. Constantly harangued by a couple of people around me, and his ugly style of play makes him an easy target. His party trick of receiving the ball back to goal mid-scuffle, twisting to his right and knocking the ball forward in the hope of out-muscling the defender could grow pretty frustrating, but half the time there's no-one to pass it to anyway.

Alternatively they might just bank most of the money like Burnley? And hope that there are 3 trainwrecks/inferior promoted teams for their hypothetical season in the limelight?

There's also the Blackpool model, of course...

Maybe she could have framed it a bit better, but obesity will waste much more of my taxes and kill far more people than a handful of Islamist lunatics in the UK.

The NHS was set up when wartime rationing was still in place. Among all the other expensive medical advancements it has had to deal with since then, structurally It's not best placed to deal with a porky one who can't lay off the jelly tots.

Interesting stuff. I have to admit that I'm a little shocked that AirAsia India isn't turning out to be a more lucrative operation - given the size of India's middle class and plethora of large population centres, I would have thought a budget airline, especially during a period of low fuel prices, would make an easy killing.
