What manager puts out a team with NO forwards in it? The players must too surely be questioning some of his strange methods. It's not the fact that we haven't won for a few games, it's the fact that we have looked totaly clueless and bewildered for most of the time. Even when we have won games we have looked anything but convincing.

I just think Johnson can't play 2 games in a row without getting injured, he's ok for now but he's not far behind Zamora in being knackered

Its NOW that we're talking about though. Forest have just won 2 games on the bounce using a left back upfront who has scored with two headers. When was the last time we even had a header on target from ANY player. Harry makes excuses while Forest just get on with it.

Not exactly, BD has already said Forest MUST spend in Jan as the "season starts on Jan 31st"!

Austin scored with a header v Blackpool. That wasn't that long ago.

Bare bones.

How was he going to fix the problem yesterday? Zamora is finished and Johnson not far behind him. He's build 3 quarters of a good side in one transfer window and he'll finish the job next month imo

it's not about strikers, though, dave. It's about how we've been set up all season. Many of us have said that until the team shows more attacking intent, we'll come undone. And that's come home to roost now. This isn't a problem that's suddenly appeared because Austin got injured, it's been there for months. And it isn't a problem that will be fixed by yet more blood - it's far more fundamental than that. But that's Harry for you - got a problem? Not my fault - get the chequebook out. Again.

Bare bones.

to be far Redknapp hasn't said much about signing loads of players, he's talked about adding a striker but that's it.

I agree we need to change our tempo and make more of the ball when we have it but we've been set up all season to have the bulk of possession and if we don't win take the point which has served us pretty well in most games. It's not exciting but after last season we needed to not do anything stupid at the start of this season and get points on the board quickly. Now the job is to evolve from a solid base to a more attacking side and I think that will come but not quickly.

They have lost the plot, Charlie Austin is a twenty goal year striker, he'll get 30 if he gets the chances, the six midfielders who played today would get you 15-18 goals over a 23 game period at this level.
When Charlie doesn't get chances and ends up defending from the centre forward position he can't get goals.
The Burnley full back Kieran Trippier creates 10-20 goals a year, he puts between half a dozen to a dozen balls into the box each game, Ings is still scoring from them, this year Trippier has created 9 goals.
There might be an argument that our coaching and strategy is letting the players down, how and why are we taking short corners? why do the midfield never get past the striker? why do we never put an early ball into the box? why can't these players triangulate their passing as they advance.
Todays performance had some hope to it, but Watford did not pressure us like many teams would. This was an easy game to win and we failed by some distance.
There are plenty of goals in this midfield, more than enough historically by career statistics, if you add a further 15 goals to our current total QPR would be 12 points clear today.
I think we need some inspirational coaching expertise, Bond and Jordon are lost in the dark and are choosing to ignore the obvious.

I like your points re. early crosses and corners.

Our set pieces are atrocious! Can we just decline to take the free kicks and corners awarded to us? We are more likely to concede ourselves than to score from them because most of our team trot hopefully up the field, only to see the ball whizz past them precisely one second later as the opposition inevitably clear the danger and start a counter attack. Sigh....

You just know we are going to end up with a new striker who is over 30 and well and truly on the down slope. They'll score no more goals than someone like Donaldson or Wells would but they will be injured half the time and cost three times as much, with no resale value. You don't need a crystal ball to see it coming...

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Redknapp can't read and write properly; gets fooled by a pub chef. Yet he can come up with a conspiracy theory to ensure he gets his own way in the January window? Do me a favour.
With Austin injured, AJ only fit for 30 minutes, which is still more than Zamora; Chevanton gone; and Hitchcock still completing his loan spell at Crewe, what was he supposed to do?
The decision to let Chevanton go, without an adequate backup looks a mistake today. But AJ and BZ were coming back, and the transfer window 3 weeks away, did it look like an error in mid December?

For a complete imbecile, you'd almost wonder how he has come to own half of Sandbanks.

sorry but HR knew the state of Zamora & Johnson last season
he also came out with the gem that would be his starting front 2 and how they would fire us to glory
its no great shock that BZ &AJ cannot complete 2 games in a row so he should have addressed the need for another 2 strikers since the summer
but what do we do we get in has beens like bennyoun, kranjker,Henry ,o'neill and never will be's in carroll (sorry how the feck does he wear our 10 shirt)
his treatment of Ali was a disgrace as well
also if its true he is going for Kane then that is the most laziest bit of scouting , buying you will ever see , he is carroll mark 2 I can think of 5 better strikers we could go for
sorry but all this we are lucky to have HR bollox gets on my t*ts
if you think the division was poor when we went up 10/11 , well its even crapper now and we will be lucky to finish in the play offs

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Well he did try to sign several strikers last summer but deals for Hooper, Crouch, Defoe and others didn't come off, they were obviously aware of the issue but only managed to fix the defence and midfield in one window.

the only one we could have got was Hooper we were never going to get crouch or Defoe also when we missed out on hooper we got Austin,
to do anything in the championship you need 5 Strikers in the squad we signed only 1 we could have loaned a couple but we didn't as HR wants to play 4-5-1
we have been sussed by other teams and HR and his mates don't have a clue in how to change it

Yeah - we've been well sussed haven't we. Played 23 lost 4. With that kind of form we should be bottom by now. Only one team has lost less than us. Derby and Leicester have both lost 5 times. Their fans must be f*cking incensed with that kind of return.

You can hardly say the team at the top of the table "sussed" us. They scored from their first shot on target after 40 minutes. They could've been 3 down at that point.

What really took the biscuit was Redknapp saying after the game that we've been 'lucky' to have Austin play as many games as he has for us.
Whatt?!! So the manager knew Austin would get knackered playing up front on his own all season, and had only 2 permanent crocks lined up as back-up, and STILL thought it a good idea not to get another striker in/blood some youth players/let Chevantón go??

Shit but local
