The only piece of land in the local area that's big enough, as far as I can tell, is on that map. The M&S warehouses and BBC Centre House (now known as Ugli House) sitting just below the Brickfields development and backing directly onto White City station.

The BBC would sell their portion in a heartbeat but you'd have to convince M&S that they could find a better site elsewhere. I think they actually use it for mock store designs, rather than storage. Give them enough money and they might leave but they probably like being near to HQ in Paddington.

Can't think of any other sites in the Bush that are big enough for a stadium and surrounding development.

hi mate think thats the piece of land we are gonna go for if they keep with the keeping the ground local , thed need to do something to white city stattion though to allow better access to the station and to and from the ground , id guess theyd slab over the top of the station to allow better access myself

I think any new stadium will be part of the Park Royal development, good transport links when it gets finished and in the docklands of West London

disagree dave they will want it in west london park royal dosnt fit that remit , no pubs near there in fact bugger all in fact , those transport links are nowhere close to being agreed so could be ten years before the railway is up to what we would need they wont wait around that long to build a new stadium

Access to that site is appalling, only one narrow road in and out. And the area north of it has been massively gentrified, they'll fight against a stadium / multi-use arena being built nearby.

Park Royal's possible, certainly has the space and land for redevelopment. Would upset some people though because the club have always talked about the 'local area'.

They want somewhere with tip-top transport already in place so that they can get punters in every night of the week. Our 20 home games will be about 15% of the events held there each year.

i doubt they give a shit about pubs being built around the area, it fits in with the business plan and there will be loads of pubs, restaurants built eventually around there. I don't see any other location other than Linford Christie

extra cost and more land needed to fit it in though , build at white coty and its all there already , westfields has it all and couple that with the BBC centre redevelopment which will happen it will only be white city

Having no pubs, restaurants anywhere near would be ideal. Any development would surely include pubs, restaurants, cinema etc as they will need to eek every penny out of fans and need it working 365 days a year.

I am more worried about how we fill it given that our crowds will drop down to about 12,000 next seasion..

which is why park royal wont work the park oppossite already has
nandos
kfc
a cinema
burger king
and is deserted during the week aprt from the local boy racers driving around the car parks at midnight plus add in the extra land needed roads on match days would be a night mare and it wont happen

Given that the hope is that the stadium will double up as a concert/event venue, and given that it will then be in competition with the O2, Wembley and any other events facility, to make it viable you would surely want it to be in walking distance of Westfield. Then you offer people a day out encompassing, shopping, eating and an event, with good transport facilities. If the council and interested parties are able to see beyond just football, then they really ought to be trying to give us a site that fulfills this criteria. There isn't going to be any attraction going to an event in Park Royal (which is round the corner from Wembley Arena anyway if that still exists). Nor is there an attraction going to an event where the tube/train nearly gets you there, but you still have another journey to take. Get the stadium into White City however and I reckon it would become the venue that everyone wants to go to.

pretty much sums up the buisness plan N12, its the main reason why phil beard has been bought in I reckon ,

wembley arena is awful for gigs
the 02 is a pain in the arris to get to midweek and bugger all aroudn there apart from the resturants inside
build a stadium on white city and the rest is already there

transport links in place
resturants in place
great location
local councl will fight tooth and nail to keep us in the vacinity as well

Park Royal as it is now is a non starter but with the development they are planning to do I think that is a real option for the club and one that will be looked at seriously. I don't see us staying in White City, that ship has sailed I'm afraid.

Indeed, the common problem with the O2 is that the transport links are awful and if the concert finishes late people are screwed. White City is Zone 2 and in a brilliant position for huge swathes of London.

I reckon The Westfield Stadium has a nice ring and would offer plenty of mutual benefits. But as Dave says, if there's no land left then that's that.

Is the Park Royal site the Old Oak Common/HS2 site?

If so this would seem logical given that the options in White City are diminishing. I take it the BBC Media Village won't be avaiable despite the BBC moving up north???

there is land though , the piece of land behind white city station alongside the railway line , its not under any planning apllication of any sort and would prob fit nicely into that plot nicely,

A direct walkway link to White City tube station would be a blinder. You could even call it the White City Stadium - known as the Air Asia Arena for sponsorship purposes of course.

Current location: OX10

theyd have to rebuild the station massively to achive that , no need as wood lane is there as is the bush goldhawk rd and the met line all within walking distance

all theyd need to do is build over the station to achive the access to and from the ground to the main rds
