Spurs player being linked on loan, anyone have any idea if he would be a good addition. Feedback seems positive from Spurs fans…

I think it was a Mark Warburton interview which talked about how clubs will sometimes take a player on loan from a premiership club in order to get a signing in the next transfer window. I think this is about building relationships with Tottenham and giving us first dibs on potential future releases or rising stars in positions we might need to strengthen next year

I'd say we've already achieved that with Morgan (as pointed out by terryb on page 1). Indeed, we've had a host of signings from Spurs over the years, particularly when Les was around.

The difference there is I think Morgan was released so it has not future benefit to us or Spurs

In terms of building a relationship there's no difference between the two. Besides, as I said, we've had a number of Spurs players over the years. If we haven't built a relationship by now, we never will.

Starting with Frank Saul and Les Allen unless some older fans can come up with some earlier ones.

The thing we don’t know is whether when Spurs released Morgan did they just cast him aside or did they put him in contact with us with a recommendation. If it’s the latter then it’s clearly a benefit of that relationship.

And along those lines I see Ronnie Edwards as a probable permanent, with Fox , Dunne and Cook not yet set in stone for next year.

No, if they can claim that even the rejected players get a contact elsewhere, they can claim that their academy makes you a pro footballer one way or the other. That's a big draw for parents who don't want to risk that opportunity.

Spurs can now add that they have lower-level affiliate clubs just down the road at places like QPR. Even if it does not work here, they will take your little Kevin Won or Kim Smith. Look at Morgan as proof.

For us, if Smyth plays left, which he can do, and Yang on the right with Dembele down the middle and also LLoyd up front, now that's a very fast front line.

Keeps Chair on his toes (that's copyrighted :P).

Maybe he just sees it as a good Korea move.

I’ve already invited this fella to dinner with two of my friends but had to cancel when my friends rang me sick.
Yang couldn’t believe it when I told him

“Kim ,John ill ?!? “ he said incredulously

I’ll get my centre parting……..

Considering this might seem a superfluous signing...I wonder if we'll hear soon that Dembele has had a set back in his recuperation?

Happy Bukkake !

What could possibly go wrong with this one.

You were truly a trailblazer as I remember curtains as more of a 90s haircut (a la Beckham). 80s the age of the mullet, surely?

Recollections may vary

80s 90s i don't know long time ago

Stan was in the 60s, Les was in the 70s and Karl Ready was post war

You could be correct sir

My mind is not what it once was

And a genius I never was !!!

But 70s 80s 90s 00s 10s and 20s keep going to this dumb ass place in W12

And I do remember how I got there, just about !!!

That sounds horribly like the relationship a feeder team would have.

Not a bad thing if it's showing a profit, or can be seen to be showing a profit as the Pozzos have demonstrated with Watford and Udinese. Or as everyone else calls it "robbing Peter to pay Paul."

A big fat zero chance that Edwards will be signing with us permanently. Southampton just bought him and will be in the Championship next season. We don't have the money to sign him anyway.

As mentioned I'm not quite sure what he's going to add but I wish him all the best.

Who knows maybe he'll score the winner in the play off final

No chance this guy will be signed permanently as Spurs just signed him on a five and a half year contract.

He seems like he could be excellent, so is this some kind of statement that we are seriously attempting for the play offs.

Routledge was a similar loan in our promotion season.

It's the only plausible explanation for me.

I'm still totally confused as to our finances and what we can and can't afford.

I thought we were totally brassic, but apparently not?

I don’t understand it either, but I assume we are spunking money at the start of a new cycle again meaning we’ll have to be all frugal in three years time?

That would be spread across the period of the contract in the accounts. Unless it's £7 million per season!

Dunno, I thought with loans usually the wages were balanced out between the two clubs?
