Crazy game to watch and shows how far we’ve fallen in such a short space of time. A game packed with brilliant goals with only commentators and club directors able to attend due to Covid. A game where people watching at home could apparently hear things being shouted on a nearby pitch (which doesn’t exist) when people were told not to mix.

Strange times.

After this result and the one at Wigan it was raining goals and I honestly thought that we’d stay up.
How wrong was I though.

To be fair, we still should have done.

We went down by a point, as a raft of injury time equalising/losing goals through the winter proved crucial.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Not to mention a shocking home record.

Bazunu giving the ball away to Shodipo in the 92nd minute against Oxford is a moment that will always stick with me. Pretty sure he did exactly the same a couple of weeks later. That alone would've kept us up.

How do you know the teams that finished just above us can't look at games where they coulda/woulda/shoulda picked up more points as well?

Well, they obviously can, however this is one Rochdale moment from that season that I said will stick with me on a Rochdale forum.

There's no suggestion we deserved to stay up as the table implies, but it was one of a myriad of inexcusable and easily avoidable mistakes that cost us.
