This new investment 07:00 - Jan 7 with 2045 views | onehunglow | I read the new owners have 21 m coming in,please God ,we have learned by now . Thus far,it seems little change and change is what we surely want .

This new investment on 07:45 - Jan 7 with 1637 views | jack247 | £6m of that towards the playing squad I think. Presumably wages included in that.
This new investment on 07:56 - Jan 7 with 1623 views | magicdaps10 | So much will be used to cover the losses and X amount for squad strengthening etc. Come the summer, we will be losing Kristian Pedersen and his wages alone will allow to bring in 2 extra players to replace. Big decisions need to be made on Allen and Naughton, both on wages that need to be justified with players who are regulars in the starting 11.......if they want experience then it needs to be used on players aged 28-30 who still have plenty of gas in the tank and a good history of not being injured.

I think there will be incoming players this window. Just because we have a little cash, it doesn't me we should overpay just to get business done early. Contract extensions are a totally different subject.
This new investment on 10:11 - Jan 7 with 1392 views | 3swan | If we are still running at a £10m a season loss then there won't be too much available for squad strengthening. In the summer when higher wage contracts end there will be more leway.

We were spiralling rapidly under the last lot. Insulting contract offers. League one was a matter of time. These guys have to stabilise us before we can start looking at bigger transfer fees and wages.

This new investment on 10:28 - Jan 7 with 1342 views | KeithHaynes | Yes, 21m as we clearly accounted for a few weeks ago. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/63514/new-finances-logge It’s not if, buts or maybe. It’s there and has been incorporated into the clubs finances. The real cause for concern is it could be 300m but we have profit and sustainability to manage. In that case the investment could be a billion. You can only spend so much.

Takes time you know we are not the only club after players. If they are any good you may get 3 or 4 clubs chasing the same player. Then there is the selling club trying to get the most they can. Plus agents working for the players. It all takes time it's not like fifa 25 where you can sign Salah Mbappe and Messi in 2 minutes flat. [Post edited 7 Jan 10:53]

This new investment on 12:52 - Jan 7 with 1051 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Swansea are looking exactly for the players like Darling and will pay reduced fees on the basis of 6 months left. This is what the recruitment has been doing. These players sign. Some do not like Ogbene. If clubs can sell reduced fees and buy reduced fees it is cash neutral. If Darling wages are as high as suggested more reasons to move on.

Selling him now frees up £1m and £12k +. Perweek straight away. It is not a an outright loss. Keeping him on for6 months is bad business. Swansea have a recruitment team. Make them work .

Don't forget the club will be hit with the increase to the employers NI in April and I suspect she of rge club employees currently fall below the current threshold as they maybe in part time roles but come April this lowers. I suspect this will be a hefty cost given the number of employees apart from then playing and coaching staff

Big question is the investment and how it affects ffp. As stated on the other thread if it doesn’t then we have cash to spend. I find the whole,e thing a headache since the new losses over three years has been changed.

I have tried very hard to understand it fully and the more I read into it the more complicated it is.
This new investment on 19:32 - Jan 7 with 490 views | ReslovenSwan1 | From google "Swansea City reported a pre-tax loss of £17.9 million for the year ending July 31, 2023. This was an increase from the previous year's loss of £13.2 million. Here are some details from the club's accounts" This means SCFC cannot announce a loss of more than £8m this financial year as £31m losses for two years has already been accounted. I believe Coleman wanted to blame the previous chairman for the £17m loss hence the claimed later take over date. He can arguez he was put in a difficult place by the previous regime..Selling Wood for £10m would helped If there was no share issues investment Swansea would already be in breach of the rules as without any investment losses of £5m annually are the upper limit. As far as I'm concerned all 3 can be moved on. Allen has become a passenger, Naughton, age has caught up and Pederson... Between the 3 of them there's enough wages for 4 or 5 tidy signings.

Sentiment has played a big part unfortunately. All 3 are out of contract so we really need to move on, if they are good around the place then maybe offer Joe and Kyle a coaching role at backroom staff wages. All 3 are considered squad players so we could be looking at getting 5 in to replace 3, one or two regular starters with a few younger players with potential.
