Few were better.

Without doubt one of the greatest in my lifetime. I had the pleasure of watching him live once and it really was a pleasure, a wonderful player

Forever in his debt. Never mind scoring the winner in the World Cup Final, this has to be his career highlight.

The player Messi relied on to get him out of trouble. A sublime and very rare talent.

Unfortunate to play in the same era as those two beasts otherwise he’s dominating the balon d’or isn’t he.

An absolute joy to watch. His spectacular stoppage-time equaliser to knock Chelsea out of the 2009 Champions League semi-final was a particular highlight for me.

HIs late goal at Stamford Bridge followed by Chelsea players absolutely raging is my all time favourite champions league moment.

Wonderful player.

Fantastic player and his almost telepathic connection with Xavi (not our one!) at Barcelona and Spain was unbelievable and a joy to watch

With all the turmoil in the Middle East, Ukraine and around the world,
consensus has never seemed more unreachable, yet all can agree that the look on Full Kit Wànker's face as the ball fizzes past him is a thing of pure beauty.

Truly great player. Him, Xavi, and Busquets: unplayable at their best for years.

That said, went with a Rangers mate to see Barce in 2015. How often we'd sat through rubbish and wondered what it would be like to see QPR play like Barce. Alas, despite Iniesta, Busquets, Neymar, Suarez, and Messi, on the day, Barce played like QPR, with Iniesta hoiked on the hour in a one-nil home loss to Malaga.

Only took two of us in the stands to QPR a G.O.A.T. candidate and FC Barcelona!

Exactly. Bet he couldn't do it on a December Tuesday night in Stoke.
God, if QPR had just his right leg we'd be 100% better.

He was kind of small too, wasn't he?

I too had the pleasure of seeing him live. A truly magnificent player.

This was February 2012, peak-Pep Barcelona at home to Valencia in La Liga.

He seemed to have a force field around him that meant whenever and wherever he moved to he was always in space. But once the ball was lost the force would be turned off and he was up and at the opposition.

After the game in an Irish bar just of Placa Catalunya, I was discussing Iniesta with a Barnsley fan who had also been at the game and unsolicited pretty much said the same as me.

He was mesmeric but oddly, he was not the best player on the field that night; a certain L Messi scored 4 in a 5-1 victory.
