Hypothetical question, but where would they have finished if they hadn’t sacked Eustace?

Especially with Eustace’s Blackburn saving themselves with a win vs Leicester.

Let's not slag off Roberts too much. Gave us one of the most enjoyable moments of the season with the "shot" that ended up in S block.

He skewed it so badly that it didn't even make R block.

The shot sent round the world.

They put in the top of their club statement about alignment of winning mentality and culture of ambition.

Gary Cook is the CEO.

The owners got precisely what they deserved

I feel a bit for their fans... but be interesting to see how they go going forward.

Is their new stadium the next QPR case that never happens?

The new owners wanted to take the club in a new direction. Certainly achieved that, didn't they?

Eustace was okay I guess, Blackburn weren’t exactly in the relegation mix when he joined

Saved by one of, if not the best striker in the league. Smozdics will be sold in the summer, but way too expensive for our modest means.

So pleased the owners of Birmingham have got this so wrong. Serves them right. Also glad Eustace guided Blackburn to safety. What a crappy lot Birmingham's owners are. So glad Plymouth stayed up. Good for them.

I remember listening to a 'rest is history' podcast about the French revolution, turns out Robespierre etc were making decisions while never sleeping but always drinking.
I wonder if a similar dynamic is at play within the Birmingham boardroom?

to be fair, if the whole mowbray situation didn’t happen they would have almost definitely stayed up. obviously they couldn’t control that so i do feel for them a bit. they’re a massive club and much too big for lg1.

If they had the same points per game under Rooney and Venus asthey did with Eustace and Mobray they would have finished 8th.

Bollocks, every team deserves to be where they are in the pyramid.
Us, Ipswich, Leeds, Norwich, Sunderland, Saints have all been down therein relatively recent times, Pompey and Derby about to come up.
Are they all “too big” to be down in the third tier?

Man City too, a fact often overlooked since they started winning Premier Leagues.

I’d forgotten them!
Beat Gillingham in the play off final I’d I recall?

Some of them don't seem to understand about contracts...

You can't just tell players they're going to leave if:

1) no other club wants them
2) they don't want to play for a club that does want them.

Largely why Forest ended up still paying a cast of thousands when they got promoted as they couldn't offload their just in case Championship level players.

To answer the hypothetical question, I reckon they would have stayed up if Eustace or Mowbary had remained in charge.

But they have the same home kit as Chelsea so deserve what they got for that reason alone!

They ain’t serious?

So if you throw money at players, they’ll come? If they pay more than the saudis they could get Ronaldo, Henderson or saido mane?

It is the third tier for goodness sake!
