Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread 08:25 - Mar 3 with 46807 views | Spaceman_P | THAT IS THE QUESTION!!! (keeping it Shakespearian) Ok guys, in good faith, I have started this post early yet again. As the vibes associated with such early-posts seem to help us/me. I feel that Loftus Road may be another sell-out and just like the last three games - I still consider WBA to be a very important match. If we win this then we are in the ascendency. Swansea (the most boring side after Stoke) will be in sight and dare I say it, we may even surpass Watford very soon, they're going down!!! Lets hope the gods also shit on our surrounding teams. So from the UFO, my heart says 2-1 win us. Another close game. Going for a Willock and Field goal. CROWD needs to be the twelfth man. Right... i'm off to make some Crop Circles near Andover. over n out Paul PS. edited note (let's remember Chair will be experiencing Ramadan after next weekends fixture, so he's going to want to go out on a high) [Post edited 3 Mar 8:28]

Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread on 23:36 - Mar 6 with 2371 views | strikerace | I thought we were great. In my mind (limited as it is) we have now beaten 2 of the top 6 sides this week or so. We should have taken all 3 points and frankly WBA was lucky. The team looks completely different now and just seems to be getting better. It feels like if the seasons started now we would be in the promotion fight, not the relegation fight.

Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread on 22:43 - Mar 6 by CateLeBonR | The biggest problem for me Brian was nobody really wanted to take the penalty. Field was going to take it but only because everyone else backed away then Frei stepped up. It didn't really matter tbh. |
No, Field just stood on the spot with the ball to stop it being scuffed up and so WBA players didn't know whose ear to get into. Standard stuff these days, and am sure Frey was on pen duty. Not as harsh as some about it, it was low and in the corner, keeper went the right way. Far worse pens than that go in. Not sure why Andersen didn't take, mind. The bloke can do what he wants with a ball.

It was a terrible penalty: had nothing positive about it. Shame cos I thought Frey tried very hard all game, especially after the penalty. We thought Dykes should’ve been on for Frey before the penalty: if he had been and taken the penalty to his usual standards we’d have won the game. Oh well.

Hope young Jacob enjoyed it too.

Yeah I was shouting for Andersen to take it - he looks a very lovely player.

Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread on 23:15 - Mar 6 by Dorse | Fair enough: the penalty was shite but it was only one kick out of the whole game. Frey put in a monster of a shift today, along with Cook and Field. That is one strong spine. Penalties? Nah, too easy. We'll score the proper way thanks. |
Bollocks to corners too? That's my only beef from what, otherwise, was an excellent performance that showed the discipline and organisation we're coming to expect from Marti-ball. We've got to do better from dead-ball situations, especially corners.

All the players put a shift in, special mention for Jimmy Dunne who has been really good at right back since his introduction to the role at Bristol City. Lucas Andersen really like him, shows a lot of quality and he is our player, major upgrade on Dozell. Not forgetting Sam Field looks re-vitalised by Cifuentes since his return from suspension. Well, recently we appear to have improved defending opposition corners. Next on Marti's checklist - scoring from our own. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread on 00:33 - Mar 7 with 1963 views | mart_Goblin | What a game of football. And what a turn around . Compare what we saw tonight to the dross Ainsworth had us churning out. I thought we were unlucky not to win the game but what a benchmark to set. Slick, gutsy, determined and at times direct . Hats off to the coaching staff and players but they have to keep it going . We are still in the shit but we are giving ourselves one hell of a chance when a month ago it was almost none . I didn’t know it was handball until I got into the Forever R’s bar . I was buzzing because of our performance and then was furious seeing it on the screen in there . No one in W block shouted handball . We all thought the keeper saved it where I was . It feels like a kick in the bollocks to be honest . Not even our players appealed either so it must have been difficult to see from some angles . But even so , it’s what the ref and linesman are there for . Catastrophic officiating again . They are an embarrassment. Anyway , Anderson was a different class until he tired . Jimmy again a colossus..just got squared up once and it was 1-1 but apart from that , tremendous. Cook and JCS heroic, Field too. Frey lays everything out there and penalty miss aside , is a wise old head up there . Shout to Fox too who came on smashed everything. Got to go at again Saturday . Come on Rangers !!

Can I just say that there ought to be a law against mentioning Lucas Andersen and Andre Dozzell in the same sentence. Perhaps even in the same paragraph.

Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread on 22:09 - Mar 6 by QPR_Jim | Incompetent is being polite, that ref was an absolute kunt. |
He missed Kipre's handball. But TV had 5 looks at it from different angles before they realised what happened. The poor old ref gets 1 look, from 1 position at full speed. Other than that the I my error was when Pipa tried to RIP Smyth's shirt off. But that was the AR 5 yards away

He might only get one look at it but it might help if he was up with play most of the time instead of being constantly out of position. His positioning for the Kipre handball was incredibly poor, he was miles away from it. Unfortunately the Championship is overloaded with refs like Eltringham that are never getting any further and are just seeing out their days until retirement. See Stroud, K.

In that case you'll know why he stopped us (Frey) taking a quick throw in while WBA were trying to regain shape? Seems a lot of us can't understand why we weren't allowed to take it quickly if we wanted too. He was more than happy for WBA to time waste and take throw in's from where ever they wanted but we take a quick throw in and everything needs to be stopped so WBA can get back and organised. I also think that the TV angle from SAR gantry wasn't the best view of the handball because it's behind the flight of the ball, so depth perception is harder and the movement of the ball seems to be when the goalkeeper gets his hand to it rather than Kipre's hand. The view that cleared it up seemed to be the angle from the School End, it became clearer which should be a similar view to what the ref had. Appreciate Kipre did well to hide it the cheating git. What about the disallowed goal, should have been disallowed for offside but the ref appeared to give it for a dangerous challenge because the defender threw himself at the floor. I also thought he gave a lot of soft fouls to WBA for any kind of challenge when we were attacking especially at set-pieces. This was just another decision in favor of WBA that happened to be tempered by the fact a QPR player happened to be offside as well.

Didn't see the handball from row B in R block. Not a clue.

This ref was the same at Blackburn where for the last half hour he gave everything against us, including giving Blackburn a free kick which led to their goal, which should have been a free kick to us for a foul on Armstrong.

There were only 12 fouls in the whole game ( 7 by us, 5 by WBA). The disallowed goal was odd. Frey was clearly offside, so it shouldnt have been given, but the reason for the FK was less than clear.
