At least they gave you/us some new things to be angry at them for!

QPR - "shit but local"

Thanks Clive
Can feel the weariness throughout that - just so fed up of bloodyt losing and losing and losing.

Reflected in your marks a bit too I think - Watford a little high, us a little low for me. Their fans were getting quite upset with their performance for most of the game and in the end were saved by two wonder strikes - it wasn't much to do with how they played. Two 8s and two 7s for that seems extremely generous to me.

Livermore I can't bear, but one thing he did that puts our midfield to shame (well, two, if you include actually scoring goals) was to take the ball in his own half, on the the half turn, despite being marked, and take responsibility to move the ball forward. What a difference he'd make to our team, both in terms of that and general leadership. I'm used to Dozzell taking the easy way out; I expected the man formerly christened 'the ginger Pirlo' (dear God) might at least do it occasionally. Instead he just knocked it back 5 yards. JCS too, who can pass, despite that awful give away first half, too often gives responsibility to Dunne, who is not as adept. People give stick to Dunne, but at least he doesn't bloody shirk his responsibilities.

Bare bones.

Thanks as ever Clive - as you so rightly say, it can't be easy coming up with different phrases to use in relation to our team. I suppose if they started playing properly it would ease the burden.

The weirdest bit about it for me is that some people are taking that game as a positive and proof we can survive.

Watford, at home, in January…..

Half their team are living out of suitcases, checking their phone before and after the warmup and at halftime to see if they’re off to Udinese, on a Sunday lunchtime and you still lose…

The tracks don’t get flatter than that.

I don't know how you do it, I really don't, but we all appreciate it.

My running out of steam translates to not going to games any more. It's just far too depressing, even though my last visit was the 2-0 win against Hull. That was the first home win I'd seen since Wigan in October 2022 and I was a season ticket holder last season (I missed the Watford match). I was toying with going on Saturday but I'm not sure I can take yet another defeat, especially against that mob.

Suffering since 1978.

Next you’ll be telling me that the squad who’ve won just 8 out of the last 60+ games isn’t just one tactical/selection tweak away from being competitive in the division.

It’s easy to see how gambling companies make so much money when you see some of the blind optimism on here following Sunday’s defeat.

Cheers Clive - only 19 more to do, if you try and think of it that way...

Yeah the main reason we 'defended' set pieces well was Watford were as terrible as us at delivering them. You can be sure Millwall will do better with their big strong boys.

I mean, 80% of our fanbase thinks we're down, and 20% thinks there might be a small chance of survival.

I get your negativity (and lassel's) - I share it - but I'm not sure where you're both getting this from. The best I've seen from anyone is 'it ain't over yet' - I haven't seen a single person say a defeat proves/means we'll stay up, and certainly no blind optimism. A bit of hope from some people maybe, and they deserve better than to be belittled for for it. 6 weeks ago people were betting on us making the play-offs - I think realism has well and truly set in.

Bare bones.

Thanks as ever for that report, much appreciated. It was of the usual, very high standard

This is a desperate, desperate squad we have at the moment. Thin, lacking in quality, lacking in intelligence, not always professional and not always taking personal pride in their work. Tragically, the few who do seem to genuinely care simply aren't good enough to carry the team.

We lack a cutting edge and are rarely clinical when we do create chances.

Worryingly, we are bucking the trend for poor, struggling teams to make sure that they get the maximum value from their set pieces. Ours are shocking.

What a mess!

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

The mental fragility of this group shining through again. Pressure is definitely on due to our league position, and they withdraw into their shells, afraid to take responsibility, afraid to take that bold risk in certain areas of the pitch.

Can’t speak for lassel but my comments were aimed at some of the posts after recent games calling for Chair to play as a deep lying playmaker or a change in formation like it’s going to be some kind of silver bullet to our fortunes.

I’m probably being a bit harsh as there’s still a long way to go this season but I’ve long accepted our fate following two years of watching this squad lose pretty much week in week out. I don’t think there are any quick fixes here.

Maybe it’s like the stages of grief with some of us at different points in the process still denying or bargaining that there’s a way out of this mess.

Not looking to belittle anyone, it’s more a reflection of me than others but I can’t bring myself to feel any optimism towards this squad.

What gets me now is the thought of those same individuals looking for a quick exit if/when we go down. Having hidden for two years, they'll want to get straight back on the Championship gravy train.

Some of them will be in for the same shock a few got last summer. Our top earner last season doesn't even have a club now. Neither does Amos, Shodipo.

Exploring options- looking at the league one/two tables for potential away days next season.

New plan in place- maybe we’ll be able to finally shift the deadwood and rebuild this squad without the Championship FFP restrictions. Probably being a bit overly optimistic with this one.

Moving on- it could be fun, we might actually win a few games!

gotta say, i won't give any of them a second thought apart from one or two, like Chair.
As Clive said, most of them won't get Champ clubs. Chair will, someone will take Willock in hope (maybe sunderland with our mate up there, and when they sell Clarke), possibly Dykes, just because people are desperate for strikers. But that's it.

Bare bones.

Paper talk of Celtic sniffing around Dykes.

There's an opening in the catering department there. He should take it.

Never knowingly right.

I think we'll go down but it's still too early to give up. this time last year we were mid table and fell away to almost going down, you can turn things round very quickly with a few wins.

I wouldn't suggest we are going to get them but there are aspects of the performances in the last 2 games and in the Ipswich one which show we are not that far away from winning games, these next two are absolutely huge for us and give us a real chance to bring a few teams back into the mix.
