What a breath of fresh air listening to Phil Parry as opposed to the awful Ian McCullogh, who can barely string a question together.

Would help if he wrote his questions down before asking them, though, as that would definitely help him deliver them more succinctly.
Also, I notice how he didn't confront him with the issues he has had over style of play (very similar to your own, I believe) that he was happy to mouth off about to Kevin Gallen a couple of weeks ago. (A session to which GA was not invited in order to put across his answers).

No, but equally I would respectfully suggest that those who wish to, should do so in a fair, balanced and consistent way, and adress their concerns directly to those who can answer them, and remain open-minded to listening to what the answers are (assuming they're actually interested in hearing them).

seemed pretty fair to me, we were awful in that Coventry game and he rightly criticised the team and manager. We played well against Burnley and he praised them.

Thats what his podcast is for much like this site, I wouldn't want or expect Clive to raise his concerns with Ainsworth or the players before writing his match report every week. He'd be there a while with Tyler Roberts for starters.

Sorry, E15, you're talking rubbish on this one. He's on a podcast and discussing the club, surely you can't expect him not to be critical of the Manager when they're reviewing some of the worst football performances in recent years. What do you expect, they can't criticise or make comments about the Manager because he's not a guest on the panel? To be fair, Gallen was an ex teammate of Ainsworth's so knows him very well, better than you or me, so having an ex Ranger with this insight, commenting on the teams performance and management is perfectly reasonable. When they really teed off on Ainsworth was following Coventry and that was entirely justified as it was one of the worst performances and most inept tactical set-ups there's been this season, and this was not long after the shambolic 6-1 defeat to a now relegated team.

I think the podcast is decent and Ian Mc and Gallen are a good pairing. And if you've kept tabs on some of Ian Mc's comments he's been very complimentary of Ainsworth in the past and said the club could do a lot worse than go for him following some excellent performances at Wycombe. He wasn't Anti Ainsworth from the start, it's the performances and tactical set-up that has clearly influenced his views. I didn't think this week's was overly ciritcal and rightfully were flagging we were play-off form under Beale, and did alright under Warbs so do we need to rip everything up and start again? I think that's fair. And didn't seem they were resigned to Ainsworth doing that, but from their knowledge of his time at Wycombe and things he's said, that's likely to be the outcome.

OK. Then l await the pre-season interview with GA where they give him the space to explain his signings and the philosophy behind them with interest.

"I'll be talking to the owners" or words to that effect. Sounds as if the DoF model has gone in the bin.

I think you might be reading too much into that. I suspect the DoF is in on those meetings, as you would expect him to be. But the Head Coiach needs to have the chance to put his viewpoint across directly to the owners as well, so that he's not misrepresented. That's just good management practice.

No. But I have known Ollie for 20+ years, spoken to him at length about all of these issues, and have spent years in leadership development programmes similar to those Richard Dobson has adopted and uses to great effect (have a listen to the QPR podcast that's mentioned on one of the other threads, and you'll understand why I'm a big fan of his).
I have studied GA's methods and listened to him talk all through his Wycombe days, as I used to live in Amersham and my kids got tickets regularly to Wycombe as part of the outreach programme they run there.
GA and RD are gems that this club is very lucky to have, and I can pretty much guarantee that all the sceptics on this Forum will become believers before too long.

You are probably right but I thought (hoped) they might be going all in on GA as the man to deal with the desperate financial position we are in

Part of why we have a DOF is because the owners don't want to run the club day to day and don't want to deal with the manager. Unless they are getting a full time chairman in I doubt that will change regardless of if Les is DOF or not
