" not planning in taking advantage of the QPR situation".. Wtf does that mean? What ,where we have to sell our players to stay within the FFP threshold.? No ,course you won't Mick. But if the price was right ?.. hmmm, maybe consider it. ?

If he cannot afford Willock on the low sale price, we shall do a deal for then he's decked. No wonder he's looking at Whittaker, who I admit is a prospect but would be cheaper than Dykes. Look's like he has no budget at Grangers. Shame Villa is doing well otherwise he might be off to there with his ppt slides.

Boil face sniffing around! on 14:08 - Apr 28 by E15Hoop | Thanks for clarifying, Phil and for acknowledging my points. Yes, fair point about Birmingham and Coventry and I don't really know how to answer that. Could be "I'll get it wrong sometimes", as he's said in the run-up to tomorrow's game, could be he was still trying to get everyone to pull together, and it just didn't happen in those games. Yes, I also hear you on Tim Iroegbunam's stats, but that might be as much to do with just wanting to bypass the Burnley midfield as much as possible and try to get them pushed back, facing their own goal. Truth is we won't know until we see what next season's squad looks like, but it doesn't make sense to me that he would laud Taylor Richards as he has done, knowing that his fee will represent a decent percentage of what we're likely to have to spend if he's not going to build a team to accomodate him and try to maximise his impact (whatever that looks like in the context of the team as a whole). |
At the end of the day I do hope you’re right. I have liked Gareth’s interviews and agree with some of what you’ve said about him not being an anti creative player - liked how he spoke about not being able to coach certain flair players, you just have to let them do what comes naturally - I like that. Also I seem to be one of the few that agree with you in that Richards could be decent with a good preseason behind him. I do worry I’m right about Ainsworth but would love to be proved wrong and be praising you in a years time for knowing your sh*t and keeping the faith.

Because of his honesty and integrity. Obviously.

“Worked with” - the next Tuesday flogged him. He’s a prick…Willock and Balugon saved his face. Was it 4 points from in the first 5 games prior, and playing poorly? I had his card at that point and was waiting with a grip on the guillotine pull

Cheers, Phil - appreciate that. Don't forget he's grown up in Ollie's school, and no-one can say that Ollie's Blackpool team was boring, can they? GA's played in teams with Martin Rowlands alongside him and you saw the post I put on here yesterday from the Bucks Free Press with him praising Eze to the heavens. We've got the 20th anniversary of 2003-4 next season, which Gaz was a big part of, and I don't think that will go forgotten by him for a moment. Its obvious that he will try and create that same level of team spirit, blend of styles and foundation of success that was laid at that time at probably very similar budget levels. This is why I think we might see the sun a lot more next season - and maybe the football might actually be better than 2003 -4 as well!
Boil face sniffing around! on 10:31 - Apr 29 with 816 views | Antti_Heinola | Most of that stuff is irrelevant. George Graham was a flair player, so lazy he was known as Stroller. His teams were the opposite of that. Warnock was a softy left winger!
