Players on holiday? 08:44 - Mar 25 with 8349 viewsJames_Paddocks

I'm pretty sure Gaz said nobody would be going on holiday during the international break? So this isn't a particularly good look...

Does anybody really think that anyone would go to Altrincham on holiday?

I'll never forget my honeymoon - three whole days in Stoke.

To be fair, Stoke is seen as an incredibly romantic holiday destination in Mordor.

I'm not overly arsed either and FWIW I think Martin is one of the few good eggs in the side. However, if the manager publicly said nobody's going away and then the current captain turns up in Portugal, it's not great optics is it?

Undermines the manager's authority imo.

Maybe he had it booked months ago when Bristol released him. ?

Ainsworth meant they are not on a 2 week holiday they will be training which they have been but is pretty standard to have a few days off in these breaks and hes chosen to go to Portugal, no big deal and doesn't undermine anyone

I would be more concerned if one was spotted on an all inclusive 10 day cruise round the Caribbean .
As bad as some of them have been , you can’t begrudge him or anyone else flying out for a couple of days break .
Not going to make them any more enthusiastic by stopping them doing stuff in their private life with family etc

If he scores the winner at Wigan and the winner at home to PNE then somehow I'd find the money for his flights to wherever for a week off.

I don't take any notice of what the club 'puts out' in the way of information.

I'm only interested In results not waffle.

Waffle never scored a goal or saved a penalty.

Yes you're right

Chris Waffle's penalty at Italia 90 still haunts me to this day

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I'm not sure even the inhabitants of Mordor would be attracted to Stoke.

Mr Martin looks to me like a young Tony Blackburn.

To be honest, I wasn't really talking about him. I couldn't care less if our players were larging it every single week if they were playing well.

Doh, I wasn’t trying to make that a reply to you, just a general post but I’m digitally challenged.

He could quite easily have trained Friday morning, flew out Friday afternoon, have 2 nights, then be back in the UK in time for training tomorrow. I cant imagine there's been any activity at Heston this weekend.

Would there be a fuss if he was spotted in Bakewell for 2 nights?

Fk it, lets just burn him instead.

and he's not looking 'fat' either'

PLUS most of his work would be working with Dykes who isn't here anyway.

PLUS not sure a player of his experience actually needs a couple of extra days training.

I just saw Ilias Chair buying an ice cream on the Uxbridge Road so I kicked his dog. I also found a Toblerone in Sam Field’s kitchen cupboard when I broke in last night to find evidence of holidaying so I did a shit in his kettle.

Have we considered the possibility that the photo could have been taken at another time? Twitter is usually full of nonsense.

Can tell we're broke too if our players aren't even being paid enough to go to Dubai
