would relegation be so bad? 12:49 - Feb 3 with 6152 views | stantheman10 | I know this post is going to attract a lot of abuse but I seriously don't think relegation would be such a bad thing. Firstly we could sort the wheat from the chaff of the players under contract and more opportunities for our youngsters and they should be strong enough to keep us competitive and winning more often. Any new players we sign would be on League 1 wages which has it's obvious positive. financially. We all know winning, in any division, lifts morale and improves mood which would hopefully lead to improved home support. You only have to look at the gates that Ipswich are getting (almost double their Championship gates). There would be a lot more away clubs that are closer to us so less travelling. it would give the club more time to regroup financially and also give the training facilities time to produce new talent without the pressure of trying to reach the 'promised land(?)'. I for one would find it a lot more exciting than playing the same old clubs and finishing circa 16th every season!

would relegation be so bad? on 19:37 - Feb 4 with 1139 views | daveB | it would be a disaster for us, took us 3 years last time, would take a lot longer now
would relegation be so bad? on 19:47 - Feb 4 with 1121 views | Juzzie | Not doing so well in the PL….. “maybe we could drop down for a season to consolidate and come back up” Not doing so well in the Championship……. “maybe we could drop down for a season to consolidate and come back up” Not doing so well in League One ……. “maybe we could drop down for a season to consolidate and come back up” And so on. Relegation is never a good thing however romantic the notion is. [Post edited 4 Feb 2023 19:51]

would relegation be so bad? on 19:50 - Feb 4 with 1118 views | Bluce_Ree | It'd be SHIT. The last time was SHIT. Everything about it was SHIT. Going to fking Tranmere or some bollocks. Playing in whatever the FA Trophy is called. While at the same seeing Chelsea, Brentford and Fulham living their best Premier League life while w*nking themselves raw at the fact that we're LESS THAN PISS. Nah, fk that. It's hard enough supporting this bitch-assed club at times without us actively wanting to get relegated. Fk all that noise. You can't be the finest football team the world has ever seen when you're drawing with fking Milton Keynes Dons or some shit. ARGH!
| Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. |

would relegation be so bad? on 19:50 - Feb 4 with 1118 views | Logman | Agreed. Would be terrible. Wouldn't be so bad if we were a club with a big local fanbase who would keep coming but if we went down I think a lot of the fans who travel 1hr + to come to the games would stop coming.
would relegation be so bad? on 11:10 - Feb 6 with 954 views | DannyPaddox | We get relegated to League 1 and we wouldn’t see a 3rd Round (let alone a 2nd Round) FA Cup tie for many years. Somebody (probably Plymouth) would then take our 3rd Round losing record away from us - pride restored.
