The point I took issue with you was that you seemed to be (perhaps not meaning to) saying rugby was the cause of it. It is not, it is alcohol. Same thing happens in football tournaments

When precedents are set then Dafydd Iwan must also be considered as per Tom Jones. He is a man who has served prison sentences on numerous occasions, is this the torch we light or does he slip through the net ?

Alcohol plain and simple, it happens every weekend, just increases on international weekend due to the increase in numbers being out

I ll try to understand that . It’s rather obscure right now. Yea o had, is a nice little ditty, easy to play in Am with words that basically contain contemptuous references but he s a hero.

Without doubt add in some Columbian marching powder, rugby lads (& lasses) arriving in masses into Cardiff & pubs around Wales. Cant say I have ever heard 'I was listening to Delilah at the rugby & I felt the need to go home & beat up the Mrs' being used as a defence in court. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Delilah banned from the Principality on 18:42 - Feb 1 by Joesus_Of_Narbereth | She didn’t deserve to be stabbed but she did cause flickering shadows of love on her blinds with another bloke and laughed in his face afterwards. |

Delilah banned from the Principality on 16:30 - Feb 1 by Badgeman | Its an awful song but its hardly a priority for the WRU is it. Making the WRU a safe place for women to work without fear of being harassed, bullied and then silenced would be a better start. |
I don’t really know if it’s awful but it’s supposed to be a morality tale, albeit wildly over-produced. Man kills his great love in a fit of jealousy and is consumed by guilt and regret. That’s the basic template for an entire genre of country/bluegrass music: the murder ballad. I don’t see what banning it is meant to achieve to be honest?

Mamaaa, Just killed a man, Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, Now he's dead Mamaaa, life had just begun, But now I've gone and thrown it all away Mama, oooh, Didn't mean to make you cry, If I'm not back again this time tomorrow, Carry on, carry on as if nothing really matters

People will listen to that song and immediately go home and stab their wife. It’s a menace to society.

I see a little silhouette of a man. Also, Tom saw the flickering shadows of love on her blind, the moral of the story is don't stand near the window when a light is on.

Shooting men in the head is fine. But stabbing your philandering wife for dropping her knickers for all and sundry is indicative of a deeply systemic and institutionally sexist misogynist and probably racist society or something.

Delilah banned from the Principality on 21:20 - Feb 1 by Boundy | You sure , ? I had the misfortune to watch last seasons Wales Italy game ., I can understand why poeple get upset , up down , beer pouring down between the seats , not watching the game etc ,it wasn't for me and I'm no Victor Meldrew |
Got to be honest, international day is treated as a day out and I always enjoy it, up there early catch a decent breakie then have a couple of ales, not to many before the game cause I want to watch the game and absorb the whole experience of the occasion/game etc, after the game win, lose of draw is jolly up time, for me anyway. Ain't been for a good few years now though, I'd rather watch the game in the house than go to a pub to watch games now to be honest, you can't really watch the game in a pub for obvious reasons.

Delilah banned from the Principality on 11:09 - Feb 4 with 639 views | Sirjohnalot | Let’s just they did it as the lyrics do potentially make light of a domestic violence killing. Let’s just say the WRU did it for the right reasons as they didn’t think it was right for this to be an official song that is played in 2023. On the face it, probably a good thing. IF, they had simply quietly dropped it without big fanfare (as they had apparently done for half time ) and if it just so happened to coincide with the week where’d they’d been publicly lambasted for an allegedly toxic environment. The news is now all about this not the WRU’s supposed behaviour. It may be that Nigel Walker is legitimately trying to sort things out and this is the first step but it seems to be an awful coincidence
