Absolutely scandalous the met police failed these women
His opening words to these women I'm a police officer you can trust me

But we don't have problems with our police if you believe some on here

Its pro-police to convict the wrong un’s.
Of course we , as the paying public, have the right to expect and demand much better.

The Met Police still has a long way to go.
Refusing to stop Partygate and refusing to act with Johnson marginalises good supportive members of the public. Questionnaires ? It looks bent.

Professional police officers dont want to protect bad police officers.
They want them out.

Well said it's a pretty the ex jobs on here don't criticise the wrong uns

It does make you wonder doesn't it

Weed them out I don't have any issues with it

Obviously more checks are needed and ongoing checks perhaps even do spot checks on people's devices etc I certainly wouldn't have an issue with that or anyone with nothing to hide

I don’t think any of us would have an issue with rooting out the corrupt, dishonest and deviants.

Police officers will be “vetted” when they join and further checks should be made at regular intervals during their service, whether that happens in reality I don’t know.
The Mail article mentions officers and police staff with convictions, the number quoted was 284 which out of a 100,000 plus cops and police staff is a very small percentage. We’d need to know the details of every case to be able to make an accurate assessment. You could have a situation where a guy/female in their 40s was cautioned for shoplifting as a 10 year old but lived an honest decent life ever since, should they be prevented from being a cop some 30 years later?

In terms of powers to spot check people’s phones, where does that legal power come from? How would you feel about the police or your boss asking to see your phone with out any justification? It’s a huge breach of civil liberties and completely unacceptable. We’re not living in a totalitarian dictatorship and the police have the same rights as any other citizen.

Instead of a problem with police service individuals.

We are right though.

And anyone who tries to hide or bury a discussion on this sort of criminal behaviour should be ashamed.

Good professional police are the keenest to get rid of officers who bring their honourable profession into disrepute.

Do you find humour in this topic ?

Plenty of outrage aimed at Jim in this thread from people who appear to have nothing whatsoever to say about the Met police protecting yet another one of their own rapists ahead of the general public.

The most formidable weapon against errors of every kind is reason.

Occupations like the police force will always attract complete wrong uns as there will always be that type of person that gets off on having power and lording it over others. I’d like to believe most people join for the right reasons, those who don’t (the bellend minority) should be weeded out and promptly fired.

If you reread the thread I think you will find people condemn what he has done but have stated that it is a very small % of police workers that are wrong uns.

You can tell by Jim's threads on the 1st page of non football how anti British/left wing he is & Kilkenny is a lover of an organisation who have blown up British people for many years.

All decent people hope Carrick gets what he deserves in prison (I am sure as a copper & rapist he will be looked after), but to keep knocking everything in the UK on this board gets a bit tedious.

All your police posts are aimed at one individual on here.

Your constant diatribes against the police are distasteful, let's hope you never need one in an emergency

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

If you are arrested without valid reason you can sue the police force for wrongful arrest, false imprisonment or even assault.
