Like many on here I guess the specials were one of those bands that was incredibly important to me growing up so I was gutted to hear the news terry hall had passed.

Honestly one of the celebrity deaths that’s got me more than most.

Enjoy yourself mush, it’s later than you think

Top band my sons called Rudy, the song was a deciding factor.

Way to young . A real troubled sole fantastic artist. His album with Dave Stewart was really good.

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

Has anyone else named their offsprings after bands or favourite songs , a member of this board last night claimed he had named his son Joe, after an Inspiral Carpets song, but thats the only one I know.

Being a big New order fan I was hoping that i would have triplets so i could call them Power Corruption & lies

"after an Inspiral Carpets song, but thats the only one I know". That was The Charlatans, as we also discussed.

It took about 12 years, but it was that song that, er, planted the seed. And I thought it went well with the surname, even if it does make him sound like a Joan Baez tribute act.

You are right, this is how it feels to get an Inspiral Carpets song title wrong, I guess that is Life
