FIFA World Cup thread. 12:02 - Nov 15 with 133167 views | Snipper | I’m trying to get excited about this World Cup, but to no avail :-((. I’ve just watched Sky Sports World Cup preview with Gary Neville, Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher & Karen Carney. Utterly depressing viewing. Same old, same old. Picking players for the starting XI not playing for their clubs, or totally off form. I’m hoping this thread can get the juices flowing. Do any of you think England have a chance?

FIFA World Cup thread. on 18:01 - Nov 21 with 2483 views | dmm | Shocking stuff from keeper Mendy for the Netherlands' second goal. Seny would have gobbled that up with no problem. Still, a Senegal loss makes Seny's return in time for Burnley a bit more of a possibility.

I feel the same about Jenas, the way he carries on, you would think 50% of his DNA came from Gattuso and the other 50% from Roy Keane

Personally, I will be surprised if Ecudor don't beat Senegal. One side can score goals & the other can't. Even when they won the African Nations, Senegal struggled to score or play well. And that was with Mane.

They lost two big players to injury today as well, Terry. At least one looked long-term.

It's probably the best US side there has been Brian. I would think that outside the British isles many wouldn't expect Wales to win. [Post edited 21 Nov 2022 21:41]

FIFA World Cup thread. on 17:00 - Nov 20 by BazzaInTheLoft | You don’t need to build a 60,000 capacity in every stadium. Upgrading a 15,000 stadium to a 30,000 one won’t creat tons of white elephants. Belgium hosted a Euros with stadiums of 25,000 |
All this talk of Scottish stadia reminds me of the infamous hedge at Glebe Park: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/b/brechin_city/7828495.stm

Son of a president (leader) scores. I wonder when did that last happen? Gaddafi gad a son who aged. Probably one of the Kims scored 17 in a behind closed doors game against Brazil.

Me too. Playing with pace and movement, and Wales just keep giving it back to them.

I'd forgotten about Tyldesey - utterly woeful talentless commentator. total Bale-w@ankfest. He didn't even play very well and they way they want about his penalty, it might even be goal of the tournament contender.
