Crazy. Some fans have booked hotels and trains which they may not get back .
People will mope around at home or go to the pub now.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

As has been mentioned hundreds of thousands of people will lose money because of the postponements, they don't respect us and we shouldn't respect them.

Arm bands and a minutes silence or whatever.

Postponement doesn't mean cancellation but I understand and respect your point of view ,myself as ex military perhaps I have (not superior by any means) a more sympathetic understanding of the values and traditions of the country we live in but that's my opinion

Fair enough mate,I respect your opinion, I have several mates who were in the forces, some are still imperialistic some not.

Ridiculous that games are called off, but it is what I expected, it's enforced mourning.

Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

The Queen was a tradition breaker herself, she understood change. Many armed forces traditions have changed or gone by the wayside as times change. Regiments and squadrons have been scrapped or merged and traditions have been lost forever, unless (like the Dambusters) they are reformed.

In another 96 years there will be newer traditions and some of the old will have been dropped.

As for the values of this country, that is a whole thread to itself that would no doubt draw some very disparaging posts from some on here. Values though, like traditions, change.

The Queen changed, she adapted. She even had tea with Paddington bear and met with 007. She was a moderniser.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I'd say that the values and traditions would be better served by stadiums across the land uniting in public support.

Children on recreation grounds being taught about respect through conducting silences with their teammates and opponents, learning why we do it and why it's important.

All we now have is people stuck at home watching looped programmes on every major channel.

Interestingly it appears to only be the football that is cancelled at the minute. Not quite sure how that one works?

Great post. Where better to show our support and respect, in a minutes silence at every ground or stuck at home in front of our tv?

This doesn't add up.

I believe the decision whether to call sporting & other events off was left to the appropriate governing bodies and not a directive from the Palace , that to me shows a change in attitudes within the establishment.

So true , she changed and with her the monarchy itself, and will continue to evolve as society changes ( not always for the good as we've seen over the past decade or so) and this imo could be a defining moment in the way the Monarchy goes forward , I would prefer a much slimmed down version this may go some way in placating those who would wish to see it abolished in all its forms . Your right , regiments amalgamate or disband but the link between the royal family and the armed forces remain as strong as it ever did , and those who have served tend to believe in the country, maybe due to having to defend its governments policies where ever they had to .
