Well the apparent king of all this, Fabrizio Romano, does that all the time. Last night says Josh Maja is going to Birmingham on a five year deal, Maja himself replies immediately saying "no I'm not", this morning Tweets again that the move has collapsed. But on he goes, as some sort of authority, regardless. #herewego

Any news on signings for us Clive?

None more so than that Spanish bloke on the BBC, Balague or such like. I'd put my mortgage on a prediction from Mystic Meg before any of his pearls. He took absolute pelters for his 'Mbappe to Real' story, that the BBC splashed all over their online mediums, only to 'break' the news that Mbappe was staying at PSG the next day. Balague disappeared for weeks after.

Dickie to Boro ! on 13:04 - Sep 1 with 4110 views | LazyFan | When we signed Balagon the only reason I could see, was that were were selling Dickie and he was a stop-gap signing until next season. I am more worried about a massive bid for Willock as 4 goals in 4 games and making Watford look like a Champ side rather than a prem side in waiting if I were a prem manager looking for Champ English talent he would be top of my list. Managers like Gerrad, Lampard or Moyes who are desperate to change results.

We have seen for a number of years now that established Premiership clubs rarely spend big money on good quality Championship talent, they prefer to spend their money on foreign players or footballers with previous Premier league experience. If players like Chair and Willock do go to premier league clubs, likely to be ones lower down the food chain. Would not be so suprised to see them sold either in January or end of the season to the likes of Leeds and Brighton if we have options to buy on Tyler Roberts and Taylor Richards, and their buying fee would be put against the selling fee, as how are we going to buy Tyler Roberts for £4m.

How strange would it be if Gerrard was asking Beale to buy Willock instead of Beale asking him to loan us young hungry players.I think its a bad time for Villa to struggle makes things tense and arkward at the club. West Ham added MB so he knows first hand about the brilliance of Willock and Chair so hopefully they stay away. Everton look like a cluster f*ck right now btw | | | | Login to get fewer ads

TBF If Boro are buying it would normally read “M’boro have agreed a fee with QPR…..”. Not the otger way round as it does. When I started reading it, I thought we were getting one of theirs….!!! [Post edited 1 Sep 2022 14:07]

Newcastle would be a likely club as they have already got his brother so £15 million or more would be nothing to them

I always remember Man Utd losing to bloody MK Dons in the league cup, and sky just completely no selling it because they'd signed Di Maria

impressed he's heard of him, cos i bet at least 75% of regular fans of prem clubs certainly haven't. 90% likely more accurate

Balague has been a bluffer for a couple of decades now. A superb track record bluffing, bluster and bullshÃt.

Dickie to Boro ! on 15:29 - Sep 1 with 2826 views | Benny_the_Ball | It's a strange one. On the one hand the source hardly inspires confidence and 'Boro, with all due respect, is a sideways career move. On the other hand, the high defensive line that Beale favours requires defenders with pace, a key attribute that Dickie lacks. Whatever the truth of the matter, the fact remains that QPR have signed several players this summer (including 2 central defenders) and are being linked with further loan signings before the window shuts. Given that finances are tight, you'd think that players need to be going in the opposite direction to create the necessary bandwidth. Logic dictates that the club look to offload the likes of Bonne and Thomas but it's Dykes and Dickie that are being touted with moves away. Jeez, how I dislike the transfer window.

Not following the logic there. What does Willock's brother being at Newcastle have to do with it?
