Moving on from the Uhuru thread - and I've had a few pints - what d'you think is the best thing ever on TV. I'd go for Star Trek, Monocled Mutineer and Smiley's People. Edit, and Tinker, tailor, Soldier Spy.

In all my years watching t.v. there are not too many programmes that I would actively make a point of staying in to watch. My favourite programmes were probably from my secondary school days when you didn't go out in the week so used to look forward to what was on the box in the evenings, so probably, Top of the Pops on Thursday evenings, Sportsnight on Wednesday nights, Monty Python's Flying Circus (also Thursday nights I think) and Minder (Wednesday evenings, I think). Coronation Street when Deirdre had her affair with Mike Baldwin was also compulsive viewing for me.

I watch very little TV but here's my list.
The Sopranos The Wire Breaking Bad
Honerable mention for Boys from the blackstuff,Narcos and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.
Topsy-turvy that list and you've got my top 3
I can't put the entirety of Black Mirror up this high but I absolutely love as many as 10 of the episodes. And some others might better resonate with a rewatch. For me, that last batch really hurt my overall rating, though.

The Wire.
By a long way.
I have only ever seen the first 2 series of that, loved it but got rid of Sky when it was on so never finished it and haven't gone back in since. Need to give it another go

Good call on Top of the Pops, if I had to pick one, it would be that. The culture, colour and vibes it brings still move me even now, when I watch the repeats.
