Disappointing that after 2 years of detailed debate the prime leavers have just returned to "Brexit means Brexit" but with the added caveat of "at any cost" Why should we give brexiteers free reign to drive the country over a cliff because of the 2016 result? No deal will sink us, especially in Wales. There is zero justification for it unless those who advocate for it can demonstrate that we will be successful after its implementation. Let the government organise a deal and if it can't pass parliament, put that deal to the people.

But its Labour and Labour supporters wish and fault, Plaid have tried educating Labour in Wales but Labour continue to side with the Conservatives which is usual these days for the Labour party, the real opposition to the Government in Westminster is Plaid and the SNP and not the Labour party.

BREAKING!! Corbyn endorses campaign for second EU referendum! on 08:34 - Jan 22 by trinityann | Both sides were spouting drivel in main media. Everything that has happened since has been orchestrated by politicians wanting to stay in EU. If there is a second referendum what is the point in voting in the future, If they are not happy with the voters they will just manipulate a different outcome. |
Well no. A vote now would be a vote on something vaguely tangible on not driven by a bunch of old farts who don’t like brown people.

BREAKING!! Corbyn endorses campaign for second EU referendum! (n/t) on 12:23 - Jan 22 by howenjack | A large majority of mps have forgotten the main purpose of their roles in parliament is to represent the views of their constituents. That mp is their one and only voice in parliament. The people who elected them have in many cases felt let down and betrayed. The term right honourable member was never more in question , quite apart from the moral failings of certain labour members highlighted in the press recently. |

They did actually.. Labour stated “Labour is committed to the rules-based system of the World Trade Organisation (WTO)” .. and the Conservatives pledged “.. we will no longer be members of the Single Market or Customs Union “.. therefore their default position is WTO.

I love context. Other quotes from labour’s manifesto. “The EU accounts for 44 per cent of our current exports and will continue to be a priority trading partner. As our trading relationship with the EU changes it is vital that we retain unrestricted access for our goods and services.” “We will scrap the Conservatives’ Brexit White Paper and replace it with fresh negotiating priorities that have a strong emphasis on retaining the benefits of the Single ô°€arket and the Customs Union — whichare essential for maintaining industries, jobs and businesses in Britain. Labour will always put jobs and the economy first.” “Labour recognises that leaving the EU with ‘no deal’ is the worst possible deal for Britain and that it would do damage to our economy and trade. We will reject ‘no deal’ as a viable option and if needs be negotiate transitional arrangements to avoid a ô°cliff-edge’ for the economy.”

I mean where to start? You said that 80% of the electorate voted for parties that said, in their manifesto, we'd leave on WTO terms (i.e. No Deal). We'll ignore that dubious figure. You were then provided with quotes from the Labour manifesto in which they said that they'd be seeking a deal that would retain the benefits of the customs union and single market- about the softest Brexit imaginable with trade between the UK and the EU remaining on its current terms. They explicitly said that No Deal (leaving on WTO terms) was not an option. The Conservative manifesto said that we'd be leaving the customs union and single market, but said "as we leave the EU, we want to negotiate...free trade between the UK and the EU's member states". Again, about as far from leaving on WTO terms as possible. And faced with evidence, in the form of policies the Labour manifesto, that are entirely contrary to your bullshit statements, you say that no one has presented a counter argument. It's like you genuinely don't comprehend the words you're reading. Honestly, I know everyone has different opinions on Brexit, but if you think that retaining the benefits of the customs union and single market = leaving on WTO terms, then I absolutely dispair that someone can have so little understanding of the issue after 3 years of this stuff... I think people here might be inviting you to clarify the difference between WTO terms, aka 'no deal', and .....erm....'no deal'?
