Not a regular poster, but could I have a match thread for my birthday, please??
Turning 40 today, which probably could have been a minor depression.
But got up this morning to a surprise from my girlfriend:
Tickets to London for the weekend. At the airport now and she just showed me tickets for tomorrows game as well. Amazing - and she doesn't even care about football. Can't ask for more, but would really like to have 3 points as well :)
See you at HQ (haven't been there for more than a year, so excited)!!

Defensive tracking from breaks not good enough, 1st goal very familiar with untracked midfield runner through the centre
Excellent finishing by Forrest especially Tomlins and Bretherton for the final goal
We didnt give up and the scoreline flattered Forrest

It has happened several times recently where if we'd scored with an early chance the game might have gone the other way. It's going to be tough for Holloway to pick himself up after this, let alone the team. | |

I agree with a lot of that, Lytham, to be honest.
But, to be honest, I only ever really analyse games the day after once emotion is completely removed. Initial thoughts are therefore dangerous, but I will say this - the scoreline may have flattered Forest but I'm struggling to think of a single positive that can be banked from that game.

We play every team the same way, irrespective of their strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes we eke out a win. Usually because, man-for-man, we're better than the other lot. Very occasionally we win against a better club, because they haven't prepared well. Generally this happens early in the season and they aren't fooled twice. |  | | |
