Now I have nothing personal against West ham, but surely I can't be the only one fed up with this West ham wnkathon on the TV?

Academy of football, Bobby Moore, sir Geoff, cockney geezers, salt of the earth and every other cliché they could think up.

Bollox to them, I'm off to have some pie and eels

Sky did have an extra hour to kill because of the delay but teddy sheringham dressed as Elliot Ness and Jamie, top top, player Redcrapp giving monotone sound bites was painful
also the montages of the place didn't really go beyond 1992 when sky re invented football , im only surprised bagpuss never made an appearance

fair play to West Ham they gave Upton Park a good send off , what a good game that was , I know im in a minority here but Man Utd should have got there earlier what did they expect to happen , thousands of p1ssed up fans outside the crowd and there isn't much love between these two teams , p1ss poor planning from Utd

Off the pitch having ben shepherd doing the closing ceremony, deary me wtf was that all about, who thought that was a good idea , you could tell sky were involved, anton Ferdinand, marlon harewood and teddy being interviewed is that the best you could get
no Bonds, Mcavennie, Hurst, Ray Stewart, Peters, pop robson , Goddard,
what a shambles I really hope we do a lot better than that when HQ goes

if I was a west ham fan I would be gutted to leave I hate these owners who come out and say we need a new ground to compete or survive , what utter bollox , its all for corporate purposes and so they can sell the club for huge profits to the next sultan
its the same as Lee Hoos saying we wont survive or can't hold the POTY disco because we have no room at LR
West Ham fans will regret this move, no matter who they sign or no matter if they qualify for the champions league it wont be upton park and never will

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Spot on PP. As you say it seemed to be a preponderence of post '92 West Ham players that were there. I thought it was strange that they wheeled out Martin Peters in one of those taxis at the end but didn't interview him. Where was Geoff Hurst as well? You'd have thought they'd have at least spoken to the their two surviving World Cup winners. Teddy Sheringham? Really?? Yes he had a couple of years there at the arse end of his career but he's Spurs/Man U.

Scum. Subhuman scum.

They’re not far off it!

For me, they just hijacked the supporters night and made it into a Sky presentation. Interviewing players who had sod all to say and taking away the moment that fans could celebrate.

A bit like playing music when your team has just scored instead of letting fans just get on with celebrating.

If it was Rangers, who wouldn’t want to be on the pitch? Or we could listen to Karl Ready say what a special place it was.

I counted 8 missiles homing in on the bus in that photo. Still, if they hired a coach driver that realised there may be traffic in London and left earlier then nothing would have happened.

Would've been quite funny if someone had thrown Russell Brand at the bus.

I only caught a very small part of the ceremony (it really wasn't aimed at us), but wouldn't they have been doing most of that without the Sky coverage?

Can only hope that they start next season with a points deduction for the filth last night and that it leads to their eventual doom.

Won't happen, though.

They did have some shit coming out of those taxis. Rob Green couldn't leave quick enough when we offered more money, now he's back pretending his loves West Ham and that fella from Luxembourg I have never heard of him.Stuart Robson another who buggered off when a bigger club came in for him and made his name elsewhere.

A Real made for tv rather than the people in the stadium hour that was. The most entertaining part was Danny Bakers comments on twitter

totally agree Dave, im surprised they didn't do that muggy Xfactor hammers sign
also was I the only one who wanted Morley & Bishop to come "out" of one of the Taxis together ?

All the former players in the taxis had won "Hammers Player of the Year" hence Sheringham was included in this parade. Not interviewing Martin Peters was a strange decision and where was Geoff Hurst - glaring absentee.
I did laugh when Shepherd and Westwood kept saying "best fans in the world"......

Rob Green did the X factor sign but looked a bit embarssed by it all. That was exactly my thought as well when Morley came out of the taxi

Everyone say their fans are the best in the world

Every player says that the ground they are talking about at the time "had a unique and special atmosphere" I am sure Parkes even says that at Wallsall when he goes back there, Parkes does work for West Ham, they do a much better job of maintaining contact and looking after ex players that we have done in recent past although we do seem to be improving on that score now

Martin Peters is visibly very frail, you could see that on the telly, not surprised he wasnt interviewed, i felt bad for him having to stand out in the rain for so long.

Hurst was surely not featured because of health reasons, i am sure he wasnt overlooked

the FINAL INSULT was when their chairman, gold?, said west ham getting the olympic stadium was a "good deal for tax payers" lol
?????? a good deal...we pay for it, then the rebuild, the pitch, goal posts, flags, policing and any other touch ups and they pay £1m a game...whilst recouping approx £5m a game or more!!??
all whufc had to do was pay a proper amount , i recall £40m , cos if qprfc ever do build a new ground we know it's gonna be £300m all in ( with land , favours etc) emirates was around £220m over a decade ago.....spurs new ground i'm guessing is £300m....so if west ham pay £100m then maybe it's a tad nearer reality......one wonders what the mayor, BOJO was doing and the LDDC/LEGACY advisors!!! and why am i still paying an olympic levy on community tax, 4 years on?? robbery!

It's worse than you think. They're only paying £100,000 a game.

Would like to know how much Gold, Sullivan and Brady are trousering from the sale of Upton Park to Galliard Homes.

Not agreeing with the twin toads Sullivan and Gold but you have to wonder how Manure managed to be so late. One of the biggest and richest clubs can't get to the match on time.

They said that they came in behind the West Ham coach. Also it seems as if the turnstiles only opened an hour before the intended kickoff so there was a huge crowd in the streets outside.
