If we could get decent offers for Fernandez and Ayew, they should be out the door as quick as boiled asparagus.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Siggy Fabs and Williams are the only 3 players that we should look to keep everyone else is and should be up for discussion

We are in danger of forgetting that many of these players comfortably kept us safe in the top flight. The problem has been ineffective signings that did not suit our style of play, poor man management and coaching.
I don't think there is a need for a wholesale clear out.
If FG is in charge I suspect he will look at all the players that can suit his style of play and work with them. I can see 3, possibly 4 changes.
To ship the vast majority of the squad out would be a massive risk plus I doubt we could afford to do it anyway.

Apart from those three players we should be looking for possible upgrades on everyone else, as there's certainly the potential to do better.

We shouldn't be handing them all their pink slips, obviously.

Exactly if you take the Leicester side with the exception of Mahrez / Vardy / Kante in comparison to our starting 11 there wouldn't be many I would swap.

Danny 'fuking' Drinkwater couldnt get in the Basseys team a few years ago now he is England's equivalent to Pirlo

With the exception of supporters of Real Madrid and Barcelona I would imagine every football fan thinks exactly the same about their team.

I still tend to think that given time a competent manager could accommodate Ayew into the team, but as a saleable asset it might be wiser to get the cash.

Fernández is one of our biggest problems in both defence and in the total lack of pace in our play.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Dr I think your opinion on centre halves lost any credibility when you kept bigging up Kyle Bartley.

I was thinking we either build the team around/to suit Sigurdsson or Ayew next year and Ayew just nets us more cash - plus Sig suits what we are used to.

Ayew will probably go on to be a superstar somewhere in the right team if he can get his foot in he door. I reckon he could be a Sanchez type for someone that can accomodate that. So a nice sell on clause would be handy too if we could get it.

Agree

I often think the same about Siggy we are lucky to have such a talented player ..... Glad Spurs played him wide and he came back to us.

He certainly thinks he is. Don't really care if he stays or we sell him.

The only place I could see him playing now is on the left with a competent left back doing his running for him.

Yes lets have BR back, this Italian has got to go anyway, in nearly every game since he's been coach, we have had to change the team in the second half because the team he picked to start with isn't working. Game after game this happens - why doesn't he pick the team that finishes the game to start off with. The chances of him becoming the next Italian Manager are 10000000-1 if he's lucky.

I like him but he's not so good that we can shoehorn him in wherever. I wouldn't start him up front over Paloschi who is a striker by trade, for example. And I doubt any big sides will chase him this summer. He's no Payet.

Depends how good his agent is, though, doesn't it. If another "mid-table" side seems keen I think we could feel pretty safe cashing in on one of our "best players" like we did with Jonjo (no offence, Andre).

Plenty of other fish in the sea, and plenty of other good players on the continent that wouldn't mind earning some Premier League money with us next season.

My point is... We set up all negative and we perform crap
Then we change it (that be Curt or Guido) then we fight back and often get the result
So... Play that way in the first place. (Last 30 mins against Stoke)

Last time we set up attacking from the start was at Bournemouth, and was ironically the last time we lost.

Correct.

It's also ironic that it's generally regarded as our best performance of the last five and yet is our only defeat.

Points above performance was needed when FG was appointed and thankfully he understood that and has guided us to safety.
