It was my first visit to Rochdale yesterday and I've got to say that I was impressed with your town centre,if I'm honest I was expecting it to be a little scruffy from what I had read on another forum,but it wasn't at all..
The free parking over the Xmas period is a great idea to get the shoppers in and as well as the usual chain stores there is a nice market in the shopping arcade,R17ALE had told me about your town hall and I've got to say that its a beautiful building and I can see why Hitler had his greedy eyes on it...
Spotland is a good old style ground,the view from the away section was excellent,its a pity that you have so many footballing neighbours as I'm sure this hits you through the turnstyles so I doff my cap to you for supporting your local club....
If i lived in Rochdale the thing that would pee me off a bit was that most places seemed to have an Oldham postcode,including Spotland,surely Rochdale is big enough for its own postcode?...
The result didn't go your way yesterday,you was the better side especially in the second half.but i was obviously more than happy with a point...
