Great point and really good performance. Everton score a lot of goals and we barely gave them a sniff.

Disappointing to see another red card after a booking for kicking the ball away though

Defence, especially the two center-backs were superb. Bodes well.

First time Everton have failed to score in the league.

For all Evertons pressure they didn't really create any clear cut opportunities, we created 3, Bony should have done a lot better with his chance, Shelvey toe poked a good chance and we were denied a stone wall penalty. A fantastic point but we need to take chances when they come

Yep. Thought we looked dangerous on the break up until the red card and reasonably comfortable containing them after it.

Everton had their chances, but we could have had a penalty for the handball on Shelveys shot in the first half, he had a decent chance when Bony put him through as well. Montero slipped a couple of times when he looked like getting a cross in.

Deserved point for me

We have the joint second best defence in the league at the minute. We've really been solid recently and today was no exception. It was a very good away performance today and you can't fault the team.

The only disappointment is the sending off and the fact that it came at a time when we looked on top. Still can't complain about a point though.

A point away from home is excellent. Well done to all concerned.

Also Montero staying on his feet when he could have dived to con the ref, even though the tackle meant him losing the ball into touch.

The only call I saw which really went against them was losing the advantage when Siggy got booked.

Oi.. our title challenge has collapsed.. we've been clinging onto our champions league hopes these last 6 games.. we need to reignite our credentials against Arsenal to burst the Champion League spots wide open.. Monk's still got a job on his hands..

After 10 games we have the joint second best defence in the league, only 10 goals conceded the same as Man City and Chelsea. What ever peoples opinion of Monk is he certainly sorted the defence out.

fully agree, also Fernandez and more importantly Fabianski(some who one poster gave absolute pelters when we signed him) have been superb. Fab just adds so much confidence with his aerial ability its unreal

We were bossing the second half until Bony went off, then we lost our momentum a bit and Gomis didn't have the same impact.

Still an excellent point though, would def have taken it this morning.

Bossing the second half?

Here are the stats:

Possession: 33%
Shots on target: 0
Corners won: 0.

Yes, we were well on top until the Bony sub. We'd created three decent chances and were dominating possession at that point.

Don't be daft we need two new full backs and a centre half.

People were slagging off Fernandez only a couple of weeks ago on here. He's such a calm and confident defender that makes things look so easy. His positioning is fantastic as well and for us to have got him for £8m IMO is a steal.
