The Oystons really aren't bothered Curryman. They inhabit a completely different space than regular people who do regular jobs. They are really wealthy and really arrogant. It doesn't matter to them what happens to the football club. They dislike a lot of the customers and enjoy baiting them. Success to them is not related to the football club, and at the moment for them the requirement is to reduce costs at the club, and that also involves lowering expectations, considerably. They are despicable people, who treat people with contempt, and have done for many years, they have no sort of etiquette or morals or ethics, they do what they like and sail very close to the wind legally too. So expecting any different is naive really, and has been for a long time. This is the Oyston family. It's what they do. They abuse whatever they like. |

Brett was a very rare kind of player. We were very fortunate to have his services for so much of his career, a great player, a great goalscorer, a great team player and a great influence on other players. A joy to watch for various reasons. |

So what should the fans do? Do you have any suggestions? Or is there nothing we can do, do we accept this is how it is and decide whether to stomach it or to walk away? This situation is not new. It's what the Oystons have been doing since 1988. We knew when the whistle blew at Wembley against Cardiff that this would all play out the way it has done. |
