Oldham subbed Otis Khan after 15 minutes when he wasn’t injured. It seems there may also be a rule about these 4 players having to only play a quarter of an hour as a minimum. |

When you say three central defenders do you mean the three that have played centrally so far this season (EEL, Ferguson and Sassi) or the three that played yesterday? If it’s the latter then I would disagree with you about Beckwith and Gordon as I think they could step up to League 2 pretty comfortably.
If it’s the former then I would tend to agree and maybe the fact Sassi is only here on a relatively short term loan means Jim is still on the lookout for an upgrade? A fully fit EEL is a big asset but I would be surprised if he is out on the pitch much before the end of 2024. [Post edited 15 Sep 10:06]

Would agree that centre half and centre forward look the areas with least cover. We need to remember that there is no transfer window though, so still no need to rush into transfers at this stage and tie up the budget. |

We have signed Sam Beckwith from Maidenhead Utd, he made the team of the year last season and is only 22. It’s the second player we’ve signed from part time football so I’m wondering if this is a deliberate tactic this season from Jim. |

I was in line with that “offside” and there is not a chance he was offside.
Good solid win, especially with the players available! Gordon looks a real asset and should only get better with more match fitness. Seemed to offer a bit going forward as well as defensively.
I said to my cousin it would take a mistake or a bit of magic to break the deadlock and for once I was right. Great finish by Sinclair and from then on we were very professional. |

I bought some tickets online for this game as I couldn’t go myself, but wanted to be able to contribute something to the club.
I’ve just had an email this evening from Ryan Bradley with a survey attached asking for feedback on the ticket buying process, reason for attending, general feedback etc.

Fully agree. In terms of the injuries and squad size it was unfortunate that the promotion came today, but the effort and work rate cannot be faulted. |

If Ferguson were fit then I think he would have rested Nevett by now, but Taylor’s performances haven’t warranted picking him so I can’t say I blame McNulty for keeping on with Nevett |

Good to see him getting international recognition, hopefully that will add a bit more to his value. I don’t think it’s a major loss for us though as it should give an overdue (in my opinion) opportunity to Ferguson. |
