Your poll isn’t what I said though is it. I know some of the new directors and appreciate all the sh1t they’ve been through to wrestle the shares back from MH. However that doesn’t excuse the ineptitude of footballing decisions made during the last two years. Robbie Stockdale should never have seen last season out. For me, the primary reason we are about to be relegated from the football league is due to that decision. It’s absolutely nothing to do with BBM. Stockdale signed the crap, sold the quality, and signed even more crap last summer. Cameron John. £2500 a week. Never forget. |

The current BOD football decision making have more harm to this club than BBM could ever have dreamed of. That’s not to say it has been done intentionally, their management of the club in the midst of the hostile takeover has been absolutely disastrous. The decision to not sack Stockdale last season has been far more harmful than BBM resigning. |

Stockdale has done more damage to this club than BBM ever did. If you can’t see that, you’re deluded. Ultimately BBM treated his relationship with the club more in line with how the majority of us would deal with our careers at work. Little loyalty and a stepping stone to bigger things. Take the emotion out of it, you can’t really blame him when you see how his career is panning out. Lee Riley is a genuine decent bloke who has also gone on to better things, yet was slated by clueless individuals on here. Not sure how this conversation has turned to this, but people making out BBM was a terrible manager etc are wrong. As anybody with half a brain can see, he was better than the majority of the deadwood we’ve endured over the last 40 years regardless of his flaws. If you genuinely think BBM was sat there stroking his beard pondering about how he could bring RAFC to its knees and sink us to non-league I’m genuinely worried about your mental well-being. |

I hope you know that waffling a load of bollocks such as that neither makes you appear likeable or informed. I’d say the main reason for the change of job title was the toxicity of the CEO title being associated with DB. That’s it. Now back in the real world, we are much more likely to see the club appoint a DOF rather than bring CG back to the club. As I said. There is already somebody employed in that role. |

It’s not though really is it. We replaced a CEO with a COO and both are ultimately responsible for the day to day runnings of the club. I think you know that. What structure would you like to see us run with to bring CG back to the club? I’m intrigued. |

As I said, far from without fault. However when you think back over the last 40 years. You can count on one hand managers who have actually brought some memorable good times. For all the bad, BBM did bring some good times and had he not left last summer I would argue we would have performed better than under Stockdale. |

Yet we somehow ended up with great results against Newcastle and Man U. Battered Plymouth and Wigan away. It was certainly drab at times but let’s not forget how we are. The football we’ve witness under JB and RS has been absolutely horrific. I’d have taken some drab BBM football over that crap any day of the week. Clearly he’s clueless anyway, that’s why Pep has entrusted him with the academy team at City… |

BBM is one of the better managers we’ve had. I know it might pain some of you on here to hear that but he was. Compare BBM with the likes of RS, JB, Buckley etc… we have had far, far worse. Was he perfect? Absolutely not. But the quality of players he managed to bring in was unquestionable. We should have stayed up that season, no doubt. But nobody really knows what else had been going on in the background during that period. His “partnership” with DB will forever tarnish his name, coupled with the antics of his missus. There were flaws but no doubt he was better than the majority of managers we have had over the years. |

As much as I would love to see CG come back to Spotland. We currently have someone filling the role. May I ask what we do with GD? Are we to just sack him? Is that even legal? Or do we have two people doing the same role taking her more money from the playing budget? Given his age and the career he’s had I would very much imagine he will be setting himself up for retirement. Restructure/redundancy isn’t going to come empty handed now is it. |

Whether you like it is irrelevant. Whatever he has done/said has worked. He’s just won his first game in football management let him have his moment. If we win every game from now until the end of the season I couldn’t care less what he says on Radio Bolton. Another pantomime villain of the season, EEL, was tremendous defensively second half. I really do hope Lloyd stays next season, regardless of why division we’re in. I’d offer him a 2 year deal and the captaincy. |

I suppose its partly down to the fact he's not very good & has shown petulance on the pitch a few times. If we were mid-table or doing well I don't think he would have come under as much stick personally but I very much doubt he will look back on his time here with much fondness. I think some of the stick he has had on the socials has been a bit strong, but as a collective this group is awful & he is one of a number who will never return to the Football League. |

I’ve found this post very useful as I have to watch many games on TV nowadays, due to work and family commitments. Fair play to the OP for providing a tech update on what our viewing situation could be like next season. I had a conversation with a friend the other day that I had noticed National League games were now available to watch live. It’s obviously a relevant thread. |

The problem with this is the majority of the cost is currently covered by the Prem, this will cease in Non-league & the cost will be unsustainable. |

The Academy will be one of the first things to go if our stay in Non-League proves to be lengthy. I believe it is predominantly funded by The EFL & that money will dry up. |

I agreed with everything until the final sentence. The new manager has to be in before the season finishes so he can deal with which plays to keep and which to move on. |

What options do we have really? We could barely attract a manager in League Two, we are now all but a league below in an even more perilous financial position than we were in September. What sort of manager do we want? Someone who’s been sacked by 4 other clubs? Someone fresh out of an academy setting who thinks results aren’t important? The only managerial gamble paying off for us that I can think of is Hill. Yes. He’s had a lot of ups and downs since he left us, however he’s also had a lot of reflection time. Think of the players he brought through this club. The broken toy model is going to be even more important now than ever before if we can get back into the league. Hill and Dunphy back ASAP please, ideally with some other sort of investor who is going to put some money up. Writing that last sentence is probably the most positive I’ve felt about the football club for a very long time. Let’s get the band back together and hope the good times follow. |

Seeing as though no one else has mentioned his name, I’ll be the first. Keith Hill part three please. He’s got a point to prove. [Post edited 27 Mar 2023 20:28]

Interesting that one of them is the brother of a former employee. Probably a little more ITK than most on here? The club is dying in front of us and what is anybody with any sort of power doing about it? Where the hell is The Trust? Look on their website, there’s lots of frivolous articles but the last meeting with the board post was on the 5th Jan. Talk about being fan owned. We are an absolute joke. |

What on earth do I need to ask the trust? Surely anybody with half a brain who is part of the trust, has the time and energy to be an active trust member can see what is wrong with the club. I’ve just listened to the interview… To call it awful would be positive. |
